While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Loved to explore Zion and Bryce National Parks. Darryl & Paula were excellent leaders for this trip!

A tremendous program. The program leader, the teachers, the accommodations, the activities, all great! My only problem was the meals, most of which were buffets. Some of which were good and others not so good.

Great adventure, great Road Scholar staff, breathtaking national parks (Bryce and Zion), great participants. Everything was perfect. Hikes were challenging but doable.

I had a good workout in a beautiful environment with great people. And I lost 3 pounds! What more can you ask for?

Overall the trip was wonderful - interesting people, informative and accommodating leaders, and best of all - fabulous hiking. I would have preferred more hiking; we didn't do as much as the description led me to believe. Also, the food, while abundant, could have been tastier and more appealing. Worst of all was the lack of hot water at the College Inn. However, despite those drawbacks, I would still recommend the trip if you want to see/hike that part of the country, with interesting people at a very reasonable price.

An awesome experience! Our group intends to select another adventure for next year.

There needs to be a place on the evaluation form for comments that might be called "other." On the Bryce-Zion trip there were 5 nights at places (Including College Inn) with swimming pools actually warm enough to comfortably swim. (That is most unusual in my experience with motels.) And, it would have been nice to have had hot water at the College Inn.

This hiking program was educational, informative, explorative, refreshing, exhilarating and a definite plus in my lifetime of memories. I do plan on attending other Road Scholar trips, hopefully in the near future.

The only main drawback was a scanty boxed lunch, one of turkey sandwiches and one of roast beef, that barely had any meat in them and on poor quality white bread. I prefer a healthier grainier type bread due to dietary needs and preferences.

Thanks for listening.

Debra Sagitto
