Schooner trip was delightful. Whale watch was a great experience and very educational.

This New England "sampler" program is delightful. The boating/sailing experiences were most enjoyable, and the visits to different towns gave insight into the lives of the people who had lived there, as well as those people still living there. A most worthwhile Road Scholar program!

lots of great boat trips. Beautiful area and lots of nice weather in August.

It lived up to its name: A New England Maritime Sampler, covering boat building, actually being on the harbors, learning of the lives of fishermen, artists, the history of the area and its impact on the rest of the US, was most informative and so much fun! That we had excellent weather was a gift; and resourseful Leanne was able to re-schedule the Essex River cruise which was rained out as initially scheduled.

My experience on my first Road Scholar adventure was awesome. I am already sharing my experience with my friends, and truly hope they take advantage of these wonderful programs.

This is a great program! The local guides and boat captains were very knowledgeable and friendly. They and the places we visited provided a rich and enjoyable learning experience in a very beautiful and memorable area.

Gary from Meredith, NH Number of programs attended: 2
Date attended: 09/07/14 - 09/12/14
Gary from Santa Cruz and Meredith Being a sailor and thoroughly into water activities, I found the water excursions not only refreshing but highly informative from commentaries provided by local experts. The added dimension of art history and galleries of the art colony at Rocky Neck was an added benefit.

Ralph from Gilmanton Iron Works, NH Number of programs attended: 37

Several enjoyable boat cruises. No restaurant at hotel, only catered meals. Not an educational progra, like to old Elderhostel ones. "Lectures" were just tour guide spiels with entertaining anecdotes, but no real learning and no handouts.

Kenneth from Colorado Springs, CO Number of programs attended: 28
Date attended: 09/07/14 - 09/12/14
We've taken over 25 Elderhostel/Road Scholar trips, and this has been one of, if not the very best. The leader, instructors, content, atmosphere, etc. were top notch. Highly recommended. Ken Hallenbeck, Colorado Springs, CO
