EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

What a delightful, healthy week and such a reasonable price. The biking and all of the leaders/guides were wonderful. And we participants outdid ourselves in terms of social cohesion. Within a couple of days we were talking, laughing and carrying on as tho we were at a class reunion ~~~ simply a fun time!!

This was my first trip with Road Scholars and I loved it! I took my new road bike and enjoyed the quiet paved roads - and the crushed limestone trail. The participants were fun and interesting. Walking in the bog and the Kovac Planetarium were highlights of the trip. Thank you to the staff of Trees for Tomorrow and all of the participants for a fun adventure in a beautiful setting!

This is one of the few budget-friendly biking programs offered. It is presented in a beautiful area on good trails and roads with little traffic. Accommodations are dorm style with private rooms for two and the bathroom down the hall. Basic but clean. Beautiful lounge in the dorm for people to visit in and enjoy a warm fire on cold days.

Great Trip! The location was wonderful and peaceful, staff ran the program smoothly while being flexible with our needs and preferences, trails are beautiful to bike on, are mostly paved and flat, low to moderate intensity, other "field trips" were fun, food great. Don't miss this trip.

Rides were more beautiful than expected- low traffic, nice pavement in good shape. One crushed limestone local trail that was fine for my road bike. Great locale and staff.

My 36th program and one of the most economical ones and well worth the low price. Excellent staff, scenic beauty on all rides, educational hikes, bike stops for flora/fauna lessons, and live raptors presented in a classroom setting with pertinent info provided on each. Food was good and plentiful. Two rides of different lengths available each day. A workshop on bike repair and maintenance was also provided the first day. A great program and value!

Loved my cycling week in the northwoods! Not only good, moderate cycling, but excellent learning opportunities about what the northwoods ecosystems are all about. Perfect time of year to experience the serenity the area offers.

I loved this trip! The beautiful, peaceful Northwoods as a biking destination can't be beat, and the atmosphere, instructors, and staff at the Trees for Tomorrow location were first rate. I will be going back!

We recently attended a Road Scholar biking experience in Eagle River, MN. The leader and staff were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We had a great week biking on many beautiful trails and paved back roads in the woods and around lakes. We recommend the trip to others. The amount of challenge was just right for moderately-fit 66 year olds.
