6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

If you are interested at all in learning about the Roosevelts, this is a great program. The instructors were excellent and the Hudson River area is a lovely place to spend time.

Visiting the Roosevelt Library and Museum and each residence is fascinating and enriching. Having two presentations by the Education specialist at the Museum/Library makes this trip very worhwhile. The location of Mt St Mary's college overlooking a broad view of the Hudson River Valley adds so much to this whole experience.

The variety of lecturers and field trips was outstanding. If I retain 20% of everything I learned on this trip, I will be an expert! Thanks so much for providing it.

Lynne from Flourtown, PA Number of programs attended: 19

Excellent program with plenty of information about the Roosevelt family. The Hudson River Valley is lovely, and the group was very congenial. Our dorm rooms overlooked the Hudson. Only negative was the food in the cafeteria--not bad, just boring. There IS a Culinary Institute of America school down the road, however.

Rita from Des Moines, WA Number of programs attended: 26

My husband and I just returned from attending the 'Life and Legacy of Eleanor and Franklin' in Newburgh, NY. It was excellent and as a history buff, I can't recommend it highly enough!

We enjoyed the program and would recommend it to anyone interested in FDR and/or the Hudson River Valley. George's upbeat and informative leadership made the program fun and enjoyable. This was our first Road Scholars program. We plan on many others! We are Canadians and truly enjoyed our American friends. The history is fascinating, the location is beautiful. Marion & Paul
