A great experience with my granddaughter. The field trips offered on this program are interesting and well worth the time and money. But... The accommodations and food need some major revisions. The Watkins Homestead Conference Center is showing its age. It looked as if many people are employed there in its administration, but my guess is that none of them is working on the regular maintenance problems. The food was awful. Even the grandchildren found fault with much of it. The menus were exactly what we grandparents recalled from our elementary school cafeterias, but not as tasty. So, yes, sign up for this, but know what to expect. A very interesting program, but grubby surroundings and terrible food.

This was a wonderful program. On the last morning, as realization that we were leaving Watson Homestead hit, my grandson asked, "Can we come back next year?" The program was expertly organized, full of highly enjoyable, interesting and educational activities for grandchildren and grandparents alike. I highly recommend it.

Very interesting and educational. Wide variety of craft projects that were keepers, not junky, especially the glass blowing. Nice Mix of hands-on projects with tours and lectures.

What a great trip. My eight year old grandson and I loved it all! It's a great balance of activities - everything from great museums to arts and crafts and exciting outdoor activities like rocking climbing, archery and hiking through Watkins Glen Gorge. Irene

This program was very interesting for us and our 12-year old granddaughter. The Homestead was a perfect spot, especially for grandchildren with all the outdoor facilities.

Our 8 year old grandson said, (without any prompt), "It was a great week!" That says it all. They were kept busy and interested every minute. Food good, accommodations clean and suitable--great pool and play/activity areas. Terrific trips to museums--the leaders kept the kids very engaged, a feat in itself. Hikes were fun, and all the on-campus wall climbing, archery, etc. were well done. R&J Tinsley, Philadelphia

This was a wonderful way to get to know my 8 year old granddaughter. Both of us had a good time and enjoyed both the activities, each other, and the other participants in the program. I particularly liked the very hands on approach of almost all of the activities.

This program was just right for my granddaughter and me as it was almost constant hands on activities and crafts. Also in a beautiful rural setting and had nature activities as well as crafts. It is well organized and all the activities ran smoothly. We were both very pleased with this program.
