6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderately Challenging
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

You will be delighted with the Camp Ondessonk hiking, horseback riding, canoeing experience!

Active and varied program, congenial group, excellent staff, good accommodations.

The activities were great and our guides were awesome. I don't want to be a curmudgeon, but feel I would be remiss if I didn't make future travelers aware that (at least my room) was rather dirty with stained and dusty carpeting, mini-blinds with a thick layer of dust, etc. I was just fine with the spartan furnishings, but dirty is not my thing.

The program location could not be more perfect for enjoying the unique natural beauty of Southern Illinois. The staff went out of their way to make us welcome and do all they could to make the experience great.

Wonderful program. Camp Ondessonk was a wonderful place to visit and the staff was great. If nature is your thing then I highly suggest you book this program. I had a wonderful, educational time ! Heepwah

I had the good fortune to attend Road Scholar's Camp Ondessonk's sampler program which included hiking, boating, and horseback riding. The competent and friendly staff created an environment which quickly made our group of eleven coalesce. The week went by too quickly.
