EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This was a very uplifting program for me. Sheila, our coordinator, as well as the Beckwith staff, was very hospitable and helpful, and the presenters were great.

This was our twentieth program and it was one of the better programs we have attended. The presenters were excellent and the food was outstanding. The area is beautiful. I'm not so certain it would be great during mosquito season.

My husband and I attended this program and were thrilled with the rich content and variety of the classes. We met Dean Mosher, an artist and activist in Fairhope, who showed us around the lovely town (formed in 1894 as a utopian community), including a visit to his unique self-designed castle. We enjoyed Tom Morley's violin and fiddle playing in every style you can think of. And Carol Bramblett's dream of building a schooner and then accomplishing it over a 9-year period was heartwarming - and we got to sail on the boat! The accommodations at Beckwith Conference Center & Camp are basic, but it was a great place to stay - the camp borders Weeks Bay so you're right on the water. Nature trails and campfires are also on the property. A well-run, well-balanced, chock-full week.

Marianne from Bowie, MD Number of programs attended: 27
Date attended: 01/27/13 - 02/01/13
I: enjoyed learning about Fairhope and seeing and learning about Dean Mosher's home and castle. Judith Richards added to that story with descriptions of all the artists and writers that have made Fairhope their home.
