EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I highly recommend "On the Home Front in Vicksburg." Parker Hills is an excellent instructor, and his presentations were always interesting and enjoyable. Carol Hills, Site Coordinator, was delightful and highly efficient, keeping the daily schedules on time and comfortable for all. All were congenial; Truly a wonderful, memorable vacation.

I am not really a Civil War buff, but I really did enjoy this program a lot, thanks to Parker and Carolle Hills!

The Vicksburg program was outstanding! General Parker and Carol Hills as our guides were the example of what all Road Scholar Tours should be blessed with! General Hills made it "come alive." His wife - the "Chief" - was such an additional benefit to him and to all of us on the tour. The descriptions of the events surrounding Vicksburg during the Civil War were vibrant. The stories and people General Hills knows were unlimited. The Military Park, the museums, the homes, the meals, the location of the hotel, the considerate bus driver --- all of these elements came together flawlessly to provide a memorable time.

Elizabeth from San Pablo, CA Number of programs attended: 5

My husband and I took his 88 year old mother on this trip. It was one of the best (if not the best) of the road scholar trips that our family has taken together. The trip leaders (Parker and Carol Hills) were so gracious and a true example of a tour host. The knowledge we gain about Vicksburg and the Civil War was immense. Definitely, a must for anyone interested in the Civil War and/or want to see Mississippi.

Louis from Huntsville, AL Number of programs attended: 1

My wife and I just finished our first program with Road Scholar. We could not be more pleased with all aspects of the program, and look forward to participating in more programs in the near future.
