Stunning venues wonderfully paced; yummiest of food; great beds & pillows, supportive instruction; satisfying length of program. Mason is a knowledgeable story-teller and provided an entertaining & informative narrative on our journey. Any camera or gear nut would be thrilled with this program. Unexpected issues were handled skillfully. Mason is accessible as leader and a patient teacher. The ease with which we moved down and up the coast and the timing for each stop was great. Our group bonded, shared, laughed, and were in constant awe of the beauty seen on this adventure. And, when the fog rolled in, we had even more learning opportunity. The pace was good and I'd l like to do it all again! Mason Marsh facilitates a terrific program.

This was the best photographic trip I've ever attended. We visited many beautiful locations on the Oregon course. The hotels were excellent, in good locations, many right on the beach or shoreline. Mason Marsh is an exceptional leader. He has designed an outstanding program delivered in a professional and inspiring manner. An excellent booklet describes each day of activities providing very useful details including information about the places visited, sunrise and sunset times, hotels and restaurants etc. Mason used his detailed knowledge of Oregon to take us to wonderful locations at the optimum time of year and day. He is an excellent photographer and is able to provide help and explanation to all levels of photographer. I learned more about my camera and photographic techniques than I could have hoped for. My highlight was photographing the Milky Way on Canon Beach after the sun had set. I've left the trip with many beautiful photographs and suggestion from Mason of other Oregon and Washington State locations that I now plan to visit. This was an excellent group and I've made many friends thanks to the relaxed and constructive atmosphere resulting from Mason's leadership. The food was excellent at many local restaurants along the coast. I can't recommend this trip more highly.

Have been on many wonderful Road Scholar programs, but this was by far the best ever! It has it all: 1. Great photographic locations...Oregon coast...need I say more! This program covers everything you want to see on the coast. 2. Good food at local flavor restaurants. You won't go hungry on this trip...and it's all good food too. 3. Wonderful accommodations. All hotels were very close to shoot locations...often within walking distance. 4. Small group count. This really made for better camaraderie and learning. 5. A GREAT program leader. I can't say enough about Mason March. Knowledgeable, helpful, easy to be with, thoughtful. In short, LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this program!

My husband and I have been on several photography workshops. This is one of the best. Mason Marsh's humor set a great tone for the trip. The trip was well organized. Mason's knowledge of the area was amazing. There was no wasted time and we were taking pictures in the right light. The critiques were thoughtful, constructive and efficient. All the participants were wonderful . We all left with great pictures and wonderful memories. We would love to go on another photo trip with Mason.

This program was the best Road Scholar photo program I ever took and is one of the top Road Scholar programs I have taken (and I have been on over 20). Mason has constructed a fantastic tour with plenty to photograph and good places to stay and eat. I want to know how he knew what the weather was going to be, so that the only 2 dates with rain, he had scheduled shoots that wouldn't be canceled, such as shooting indoors at the Newport Aquarium. He worked with everyone and made the trip.

This was an outstanding trip and offered unique photographic opportunities. This was my fourth Road Scholar photo tour and I have to say it was the very best. Mason Marsh was an outstanding guide and instructor and if he organizes other tours, I will be there. The other participants were all enthusiastic photographers as well as great people to spend the 10 days with.

This trip exceeded expectations in every way. This was my first Road Scholar trip and I came away impressed by the quality and enthusiasm of the trip leader Mason Marsh, the diversity and flexibility of my fellow travelers, the loveliness of the accommodations, the outstanding food, and the beautiful scenery. I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

I am a relative newbie to photography and wanted a program that would help me develop new skills. This program did exactly that. Mason gave us many, many different shooting opportunities and was always available to answer questions. If Mason ever organizes another trip, I would be first in line to sign up!

I had always wanted to photograph the Oregon Coast and Mason Marsh provided the perfect opportunity. With photo shoots from dawn to dusk, using many shoot locations, I was able to get many images that I really like. This is an outstanding photography trip!

Imagine the perfect photographic experience....then enroll in Mason Marsh's Photographing the Oregon Coast. Mason does it all from reservations, driving, and teaching photographic techniques to educating the participants about local history and lore. What a trip!

This is one of the best Road Scholar programs we have attended. The Oregon coast was everything we imagined it would be. Our leader, Mason Marsh, in addition to his skillful driving and commentary along the way, is an excellent photographer and teacher with a great sense of humor. Everyday was a new experience: lighthouses, tide pools, birds, seals, even some elk. Although the schedule was strenuous, I highly recommend this program for anyone who enjoys spectacular scenery and photography.

I just got back from Oregon and I must say it was FANTASTIC! We had 9 wonderful days of weather that I understand may of been their entire summer in that week so we couldn't of be luckier. The leader (Mason Marsh) was fantastic & fun as were all 15 participants. Everyone got along great. The hotels were top notch, almost all on the beach many with fireplaces a lot of times kitchens and sommetimes 2 bedroom suites although we were so busy we never got to enjoy the rooms. We ate at resturants that were very good, 3 meals a days with ice creams stops and snacks always provided on the bus. I came back with almost 2,000 photos, many very good. I can't say enough good things about this trip and it was much better planned than I could of done myself.I would recommend it to anyone interested in photography.
