Great golf, great golf lessons in a very beautiful area of the county. Played on courses surrounded by red rocks. We also had lessons with 4 PGA professionals over 3 sessions which included a review of a skill of our choice. Imagine having a geologist with you telling you everything you are looking at in Zion and the other parks. What a great week! This is one I would do again.

Outstanding program! Play some of the best courses in the U.S., see ZionNat'l Park. However, don't expect the lavish accommodations of Sedona or Hilton Head, but that does not diminish the quality of this program at all.

John from Elizabeth City, NC Number of programs attended: 2

Super program! Beautiful countryside, field trips and golf courses. I would describe golf instruction more as clinics then individual instruction.

Lesley from Elizabeth City, NC Number of programs attended: 2

This was a well organized, well executed program that I enjoyed a great deal. My goals of learning to play better golf and to visit an area of the country very different from my own were both realized. Our weather was perfect and the folks in our group were interesting and fun. A great program and a really good vacation.

This program is excellent! Having taken 5 different golf programs, this is by far the best. Leader is excellent. Food quality and variety top quality. Golf instruction is provided by several excellent young pros and teaching facility is perfect. The quality and variety of golf courses was also excellent. The geology and history lectures provided nice variety. I strongly recommend this program. We have taken it two years in a row!

The golf instruction was the most useful of any instruction that I have taken in the past. Their instruction actually lowered my scores! The geology component and field trips were very informative and explained thecomplex geology of southern Utah. Absolutely outstanding program if you like golf and you are interested in the physical world around us.

James from San Diego, CA Number of programs attended: 1

The golf program in St. George, Utah is top of the line learning for its focus on golf, on the natural beauty of the area, especially Zion National Park, and for the program's leadership. It was a wonderful experience in every way.

The program met or exceeded my expectations on all aspects. Instructors were patient and professional but not intimidating. Beautiful courses. Lovely weather and people.

Jeff from Florence, OR Number of programs attended: 1
Date attended: 03/23/15 - 03/29/15
The golf courses were absolutely beautiful - a visual treat. The expertise of the instructors was clearly very good and they were always both positive and encouraging. This is a well organized program providing a great golfing experience as well as in-depth geology instruction both in the classroom and during the tour of Zion National Park. I will probably never look at rocks quite the same. I highly recommend this program.

Donald from Middleton, WI Number of programs attended: 4

Fantastic Golf instruction and wonderful courses to play. Serious instruction, but always patient and supportive, never threatening, or competitive. Do not be anxious about being good enough at golf. Everyone was easy and there was no pressure. Do not be anxious about being too good to learn something significant in this course. Everyone learned much. One day, just like they say, I played the best golf of my life. Ah, the next day, I once again played my way. Oh, well, nobody cared but me. A great experience.

Edwin from Sacramento, CA Number of programs attended: 1

Eat, golf, eat, golf, eat was pretty much the order of the day. My game had deteriated and I needed to get back on track and also squeeze in a long overdue vacation. Mornings spent on fundamentals and playing opportunity in the afternoons. A full 18 on Saturday at the scenic Sky Mountain. I picked up on some pointers that is helping me get back on track. Of course, an added bonus is the tour through Zion with a geologist explaining the topography. I don't normally vacation like this following a preset schedule but it did take the driving and planning out of my hands. Paul made for a great guide, handling all the organizing and driving. Possibly I may consider repeating this again in a year's time.

If you want to have fun, sign up for this program! I believe we enjoyed only the best golf instruction, golf courses, area history and geology lectures. The food was good with a different and interesting resturant each day. What made this such a great program? All of the top notch organizers, instructors, lecturers and our own private guide, Paul Peterson. Of course none of this would have been possible without all of the participants (Road Scholars)and the many new friends we all made in Saint George. I may have to repeat this course again. Hope to see you in St. George!

All of the five golf Road Scholar programs I have attended have been excellent, but this was the best in terms of instruction. The ratio of instructor to student was small enough to get lots of individual help but not too intense as it can be with private instruction. The golf program did indeed work with all skill levels effectively. The food was also better than other golf programs and the geology education and hiking experience made a great balance for the week. Our co-participants were a lot of fun and we even met another couple we had been on a previous RS golf program with a few years ago.

Suzanne from Aurora, CO Number of programs attended: 6

Of the 5 golf programs we have attended, this was our favorite. The instructors were excellent and the golf courses were beautiful and fun to play. The leader was exceptional, the best of the 5 programs. The food was also the best. We would highly recommend this program and may even repeat it at some time in the future.

This was a wonderful experience. Well organized and a great opportunity to learn about the area and best of all, some great golf tips. This was a first for me.
