This trip was amazing and i will certainly go again. If the word "challenging" scares you....just pick the slowest person in the group and become their friend. soon others will join you. There is nothing like it:) thank you Roads Scholar.

Road Scholar's response:
We’re glad you enjoyed your program, Nancy! Please note that we periodically review each program’s activity level to ensure that it’s correctly rated and would like to clarify that this program is indeed our highest rating of "Challenging". We wish to clarify this to ensure participants are fully aware of the physical demands of the program they are signing up for.

This was our first Road Scholar trip. We so appreciated that we didn't have to research which trails to hike, how to get there, where to stay, etc. This was all done for us and we were very happy with their choices. As hikers, it was great to have our lunches prepared for us each day. Our leaders were excellent. They were knowledgeable and passionate about their roles (teaching, coordinating, driving the bus). We learned a lot about Zion and what we were seeing along the trails. Our fellow hikers were interesting and fun to talk with. We would highly recommend this program!

Hiking in Zion is one of the best programs I've attended. From the lovely accommodations in Springdale, Utah, to the wonderfully organized hikes themselves, the trip exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend the program.

Another successful hiking trip with Road Scholar to a spectacular area. The schedule was flexible, the challenges manageable and the pace comfortable. We enjoyed great hiking weather with highs between 75 and 85 F and glorious sunny skies.

This is an outstanding program. The hiking was as challenging as one wanted it to be - the leaders did a good job of accommodating the differences in desired activity level. I think that the program characterization of "Challenging" is spot on. The scenery at Zion is awesome. The leaders (Gary, Sherry, and driver Steve) did a great job. I always felt that their primary interest was ensuring a good experience for all. Our group was very diverse and very interesting. I enjoyed them all. I highly recommend this program for anyone who enjoys being outdoors and engaging in activities which are at times a bit strenuous.

As I stitch my quilt of memory the trip to Zion will be a central part of my life's tapestry. The beauty of Zion, the grace of the leaders, the laughter of the people I chose to hike with all made the trip memorable. While this was my first trip with Road Scholar, it will not be my last trip.
