ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This program was excellent. Jekyll Island was just beautiful and the hotel outstanding. Craig was a very good instructor--he taught clearly and progressed at the perfect pace. The practice sessions were geared to our daily lessons. We enjoyed the food and the ambiance of the location.

For the intermediate bridge program, Alex Brough is a very knowledgeable, personable, and patient instructor. Group leaders don't get any better than Linda Arthur. What a sweetheart! Be sure to stay at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel for a wonderful experience. Alan, Hermitage PA (January 2015)

For anyone who would like to expand their knowledge and skill on playing bridge, meet new people, learn about the area in which you are visiting, I would recommend this fun program particularly on Jekyll Island:):):)It has been fun traveling with Road Scholar. My wife and I attended the Advancing Bridge program 10/26 - 10/31 at Jekyll Island. We both thoroughly enjoyed the week and found it very beneficial. Craig Hemphill is an excellent instructor with a real talent for making difficult concepts easy to understand. He provided many excellent examples to further clarify the concepts in his presentation, and answered participants' questions clearly and patiently. Linda Arthur was wonderful in making sure that all of our needs were taken care of. The program was very well organized and the Jekyll Island Club Hotel is a delightful place to stay. We highly recommend this program!

--Absolutely wonderful program. Excellent instructor (Craig Hemphill). Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, organized, and patient. Responded well to questions. Adjusted instruction to the level of the group. Sought group input into what areas of bridge were to be covered. Provided emailed PDFs of all materials used in class. A+ --Wonderful program leader. Linda is very knowledgeable about the area, oriented us to it, gave suggestions for free time, and cautioned about life (snakes and alligators!) on the island. Went out of her way to respond to individual requests. She is organized, has a great sense of humor, and is an all-around delight! A+ --The Jekyll Island Club Hotel is a special place. The history and beauty of the hotel are first-rate. The views and grounds are beautiful; the rooms are comfortable; the food is interesting, varied, and delicious. The island provides an opportunity for exploration both by car and on foot. It is a most special place. This was my third time back to this program and this location. Need I say more? I hope to return again next year! A+

We had a great week! Nice participants, good interaction, great staff. We learned a lot. For some things we thought we knew, we got the complete story. We also got a lot of detail about things we had heard of, but did not have a clue about. My husband says he will now play Stayman and Jacoby transfers. Yeah!
