The Stanton Music Festival is an outstanding artistic, musical production and yes it is a sparkling gem! My heart, body and soul are singing. Lectures enhanced my knowledge and understanding of the music. The play Anthony and Cleopatra at the Blackfrier Playhouyse was enjoyable and a wonderful balance and artistic contrast.

I enjoyed this program very much due to the high quality of the musicianship and the excellence of the presentations throughout. This is the second time I attended and will attend next year if able.

The Staunton Music Festival is a jewel. Superb talent; welcoming town of great charm; programs which challenged my perceptions and enlarged my understanding. I hope to make it an annual event!

This program is a great value for the cost. Staunton is a pretty, compact town. The hotel is a lovely, large older building in a perfect location. The other participants were friendly and helped make everyone feel comfortable. The music was incredible, and the opportunity to hear composers, performers, and even the conductor speak was priceless. Three meals a day were included, and the cuisine was fine though not fancy. I would recommend this program to any lover of great music and Shakespeare who is able to walk several blocks without difficulty.

The program Staunton Music Festival & American Shakespeare Center was a great experience. The music festival was a delight - two concerts every day, and as Road Scholars we got to meet and hear the program director, the conductor, and many of the young composers whose music we would then hear at the concerts. This was really a rare experience!

Four days of glorious music plus one of great Shakespeare, all in a welcoming small-town atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys classical music and good theatre.

The Stuanton Music Festival featured a large selection of music from many centuries. The music was well played. The participants were able to talk to the performers and classes about the concerts were given every day. In addition the hotel was excellent and the food served also. The hotel was close to the concert venue and all could be reached by a short walk. If that wasn't enough the staunton has a world class Shakespeare theatre. We were able to attend one performance. Staunton also has excellent shopping.

If you would like to hear lots of good music and a bit of Shakespeare, you could not do better than go to the Staunton Music Festival. It's located in a small Virginia city full of friendly people and charm.
