If you want a unique Shakespearean experience in a great setting, with great food, and great presenters/actors, try this one. You will not only see a good rendition of the Bard's work, but will hear about different views for it. An unforgettable experience.

WOW! We learned much more than expected - didn't know before how little we knew about performing Shakespeare in the original fashion - the intellectual demands on the performers. The ASC Blackfiars Theater is the perfect place to learn and enjoy!

Ward from Huntsville, AL Number of programs attended: 3
Date attended: 05/06/14 - 05/09/14
The program lived up to its excellent reviews. The presenters and players were superb. The hotel venue is outstanding, and the food was very good. We wished we had received a bit more "brushing up" information on Henry IV, Part 1. All of our other expectations were fully met.

Elaine from Pittsburgh, PA Number of programs attended: 6
Date attended: 05/06/14 - 05/09/14
The Shakespeare Road Scholar program is outstanding in every way. We are evidence that it can be enjoyed by any level of enthusiasm for the subject from professional (Elaine) down to almost zero (Leroy). For us the two play program was perfect. Others may opt for the three plays.

Stephen from Garnet Valley, PA Number of programs attended: 11
Date attended: 09/24/13 - 09/27/13
The three plays we attended at the Black Friar Theater were quite an experience. It enlightened me as to the advantages of the Shakespearean style of play presentation. We were more than a listening, seeing audience. We were an experiencing audience.

Ronald from Columbia, SC Number of programs attended: 10
Date attended: 09/24/13 - 09/27/13
This program was booked with another program "back to back". We came to the program with minimal expectations, believing we might see a couple of interesting Shakespeare productions. The American Shakespeare Center is doing amazing work in a beautiful reproduction of the Blackfriars. If you love theatre...you have to go!

Barbara from Saugatuck, MI Number of programs attended: 9
Date attended: 09/24/13 - 09/27/13
The plays were all wonderful and the town is delightful and interesting.

Zivile from Pittsford, NY Number of programs attended: 19
Date attended: 05/07/13 - 05/10/13
It was a good short program. I would like to see it extended in order to see more plays. The location especially was good. The downtown area area was easy to walk to and explore. The hotel was close to the Blackfriars theater and the hotel itself was recently refurbished and fit the time period nicely.
