Program #20193RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Well run dude ranch. Can't beat riding the desert mountains. Make sure you read all the rules. Excellent staff including Carol.

My experience at the White Stallion Ranch was beyond belief! I agree this is a program worth repeating. The hospitality, the various activities, beautiful landscape, friendly wranglers and staff made this truly a great 6 days to remember. I will be going back!

I did not receive an evaluation form as you did not have the correct e-mail. Our experience at the White Stallion Ranch was fantastic. Carol was terrific as were all of the personnel on the ranch. Even the horses were wonderful. The pacing and the programs were perfect as was the weather. And the surroundings were simply breath taking.I cannot think of a single negative and I will encourage my friends to go there.

This program is one worth repeating!! The landscape, the hospitality, the ranch and its outstanding owners, wranglers, presenters, friendly/accomplished staff to-a-person, and oh, the horses, horses, horses!! I will be going back!! Giddyup!!

The White Stallion Ranch is in a beautiful location. The food, lodging, owners, and staff were exceptional. I had no experience with horseback riding prior to this experience and felt safe with the horse that was chosen for me. I did take a riding lesson prior to my first ride; besides boosting my confidence, I was given several pointers to assist me in the handling of the horse. I would recommend the lesson for all who have had little or no experience.

This is our 30th program and the only one we have repeated. We were here last year and it was even better this year, if that is possible. We are planning to come back again.

Woody from Herculaneum, MO Number of programs attended: 7

This is an excellent program in all respects - you will not be disappointed.

Laurie from Costa Mesa, CA Number of programs attended: 21

My third time on this RS Program at the Ranch, and I am already looking forward to next year.

Thomas from Lawrenceville, GA Number of programs attended: 9
Date attended: 09/30/14 - 10/05/14
This was an excellent program. Our group of about 20 had very good accommodations. Everything was within walking distance of our room. The staff was friendly. The food was fantastic. They matched the horses with the riding skills and size of each rider. There was a good variety of activities - including an activity (campfire, raptor lecture, etc.) each evening. We got to trail-ride the horses usually twice each day but there was plenty to do without riding (swimming, billiards, library, horseshoes, etc.). The staff and program leadership put a lot of effort into making this a success.

Betty from Highlands Ranch, CO Number of programs attended: 12
Date attended: 09/30/14 - 10/05/14
Wonderful program for those interested on learning about horses and ranch life. Well organized and great meals and service from staff and wranglers. Would highly recommend!

Harriet from Holladay, UT Number of programs attended: 8
Date attended: 09/30/14 - 10/05/14
This program is in a beautiful, desert area. Provides horseback riding for all levels of ability. It is well worth the time and money to get away, challenge yourself and experience an enjoyable time.

Beverly from Richardson, TX Number of programs attended: 9
Date attended: 02/02/14 - 02/07/14
Curtis from Richardson, TX Number of programs attended: 8 Date attended: 02/02/14-02/07/14 If you want to add spice to your life, take the RS trip to White Stallion Ranch. It is a marvelous experience that we emphasize, is great for all ages. It is a beautiful ranch with views to sink into and remember forever. Russell True, one of the owners is a lecturer not to be missed. You will see him everywhere---serving food, shoeing horses, getting the rides headed out, announcing the rodeo and he is humorous and winsome doing it all. Carol Moore is an enthusiastic, interesting group leader that quickly becomes a friend. Sheryl in the Gift Shop adds much to the experience and the young staff is a delight with their polite and helpful ways. No pretention here--just a wonderful authentic desert experience. Y'all head out for the ranch ASAP!

Robert from Festus, MO Number of programs attended: 27
Date attended: 02/02/14 - 02/07/14
This was one of the best RS programs we have attended. The accommodations were second to none. The food was great. The program was a nice combination of activities such as hiking and horseback riding and demonstrations such as natural horsemanship. Even those who had never ridden a horse were made to feel comfortable and had a great time. The educational content was combined with the activities to make for a nice mix. The owner and the staff at the ranch were the very best in their friendliness and attention to every possible detail and need of their guests. The setting was beautiful. We enjoyed it so much we are tentatively planning to go back again next year.

Bo from Kitchener, ON Number of programs attended: 4
Date attended: 02/02/14 - 02/07/14
It was great fun, even for a city boy. Horsemanship from beginner to advanced, or for those less inclined desert nature walks, star gazing, etc. Met lots of good people again and the owner and staff were wonderful. How perfect is the name Russel for a ranch owner? Our room looked out on the desert sunrise and horse paddock, while all meals were terrific. Perfect!

Linda from Queensbury, NY Number of programs attended: 5

We have been home from the White Stallion for one week now, and still it is always on my mind. I miss my big black gelding, Buffalo, and the peace and serenity of the ranch, all its people, and the Arizona desert. I can see why people return year after year.

Alice from Milwaukie, OR Number of programs attended: 5
Date attended: 01/05/14 - 01/10/14
Who would have thought I would be riding horses at my age? And who would have thought that I might have some fun with water colors. I loved it all.

Laurel from Costa Mesa, CA Number of programs attended: 17
Date attended: 01/05/14 - 01/10/14
I have taken 17 trips with Road Scholar and all were excellent, but this is the only trip I have ever repeated. That says a lot! It's a wonderful escape to a quiet, different and relaxing life on the ranch -- amazing horses, warm hospitality and beautiful Sonoran desert.
