Although 24 was way too many for a birding group, the group leaders coped very well. There were some very knowledgeable birders and the locations were fun. I didn't know Delaware except as a road to DC, so learning more about the State was worthwhile. I enjoyed Trap Pond, the various state parks we visited and the forested areas. We saw some great birds: as a west coast person, I wasn't familiar with birds you take for granted: the red-headed woodpecker, northern Parilla, boat-tailed grackle. I have a dropbox with the pictures of the trip though not annotated, so if anyone wants to see these here is the link; https://www.dropbox.com/home/Delaware

This trip was a wonderful opportunity to see some really fine birding spots - Prime Hook NWR, Bombay Hook NWR, Cape Henlopen State Park, and Gordon's Pond- just a stone's throw from Rehobeth Beach. We saw over 90 species of birds with lots of looks at Bald Eagles, Avocets, and Green Herons, just to name a few. Bill and Sally Fintel were our guides for this trip. Bill had the scope and pointed out the birds. Sally gave us info on the bus about local history, state economy, and agriculture. It surely helped to pass the time. We even visited their yard to see all of the wonderful water features and feeders that they use to attract birds. The birding ability of the Fintels was a big plus on this trip. My one negative comment would be that the group - numbering 23 people - was much too large, making it difficult to get near the scope and to hear what was being said. I would recommend this trip highly as long as I as knew that the Fintels were leading this trip Carol from Riveside, NJ

This was my first Road Scholar experience -- but I plan on having many more. The expertise of the leaders resulted in our seeing an amazing number of birds; interesting facts and/or historical information made the trip even more interesting and rewarding. Thank you, Bill and Sally, for inviting us to spend a little time in your lovely garden; it holds so many elements vital for wildlife attraction and feeding!
