the waterfall SC program was excellent. 5 leaders for 17 participants was great ratio on the trail I felt safe and in good hands if an accident had happened. the boat ride on lake jocassee where we spotted a 6 point buck swimming and a pair of peregrine falcon in a tree and eagles diving for fish and the 4 waterfalls we drove back to was amazing. I loved the variety of waterfalls we hiked to. the leaders and other participants were best I've had and I've been on 13 road scholar programs! sandi

The SC Waterfall program was beyond my expectations. We counted 22 waterfalls, and were delighted the program included cruising the amazing Lake Jocassee, tours of Clemson, and other side trips. But what made the program so special was the combination of guides, lecturers and other participants. Alison, Brandon, Morgan, Nate and our super driver Frank went far beyond to ensure our safety, expand our horizons and entertain us at every point. The lectures gave us insight into the people, geography, and environment that make the Dark Corner so significant. And our guides added to the experience by closeup descriptions and examples of the flora, fauna and organics as we trekked. The wonderful food gave us phsical energy, and the guides and fellow trekkers gave us the emotional energy to complete every trail. We all also discussed the positive attitude, friendliness, determination and energy of all the hikers, which made the program even more enjoyable and successful.

The week was both fun and filled with beauty. The recent rains caused the waterfalls to be a their peak and were breath-taking in beauty. Perfect weather and energetic staff made for a wonderful week!

This Hiking the Waterfalls of South Carolina was just right in Physical Activity and seeing new things. In particular the other 17 members of our group were interesting, engaged, active, and vigorous. They were the kind of folks you would select as friends at home. It was a fun week.

A beautifully organized program. The staff was so amenable and supportive....the omelets cooked to order, one morning, were amazing. And then there were the waterfalls!

Hiking the Waterfalls of the Carolinas was rigorous but invigorating, and the reward at the end, the waterfalls, was worth the trek!! The trails themselves were beautiful as well, and our coordinator and her staff were extremely helpful in helping us navigate those trails!

We had a lively group of 22 fun people! Our guides Brandon, Kaitlyn and Johnny were novices but cute, friendly and accommodating. One night the musical entertainment cancelled so they gave us the option of riding go carts. We had a blast! The falls were beautiful. Breakfast and dinner were good. We packed our lunches everyday. There could have been a little more variety in the lunch offerings. The facility and our room was excellent! We had a free afternoon in Greenville and enjoyed the park and did some shopping. The naturalist Dan was knowledgeable and our bus driver Frank was a very experienced hiker. He entertained us on the bus with videos of his Pacific Coast hiking trip. I recommend this trip.
