Deirdre from New York. Dates 07/29/13-08/03/13 This was my first experience with Road Scholar and I am already planning several more trips for the coming year. I felt very privileged to have finally found the type of tour that suits my wishes. And to have shared it with my grandchild, it was as if my dream vacation was realized to my specifications. The kids were lovely, well behaved and eager. The guides Kylie and Garret were outstanding. I cannot imagine another pair of leaders who could do a better job. They were cheerful, friendly, organized and accommodating at all times and the kids LOVED them. The accommodations were fine, food was fresh and plentiful. Each day was unique, each guest lecture was excellent, from a night with snakes and spiders, a morning with a geologist, an evening of frontier music and song, a morning lecture about growing up on the reservation in the 50's. We swam in the most picturesque waterhole, explored Montezuma's well, the kids made reed toys and leather medicine bags, we went white water rafting( brown water actually) took out first helicopter ride, and over the Grand Canyon no less . I am breathless thinking of all that we stuffed into five days, and never felt rushed. I heartily recommend this program, I am certain it could not be improved.

Here it is -- the photo of Dennis in the Drink taken by Toni on my camera. Mikey and I loved this adventure and we also loved sharing it with 17 beautiful grandchildren and their grandparents. Thanks also to caring and knowledgeable Garrett and Kylie. Your kindness will also be remembered, along with the breathtaking scenery and thrilling adventures. Cecilia Fallert back in St. Louis

This was a very enjoyable program. The accomadations and food were more than adequate. The leaders were experienced, knowledgeable and fun. All of our instructors were enthusiastic and well-versed in their fields. Our grandchildren had a great time, especially on the rafting trip. Our grandson described the rafting as epic. The rafting and helicoptor ride were new experiences for them and they were so excited to be able to do both. Overall, a good program.

It was everything I expected And moré! My grandson kept saying "I can't believe I'm here. You can't get better than Sedona and the Grand Canyon but you can add a great program and A Colorado River trip with a hidden cave with a water fall before you helicopter out.

My grandson and I just completed this program and we both had a BLAST. For me it fulfilled a dream of a lifetime--rafting in the Grand Canyon. For my grandson, in his own words--"it was a trip of a lifetime. The program itself was educational, entertaining and FUN. The leaders, Garret and Jennifer really engaged the youth and yet made it very interesting for everyone. The young people WANTED to be with the leaders and that is a pretty strong indicator as to how they related to them. Leaders set the tone for a program and both of ours did an excellent job. The accommodations in Sedona and Peach Springs were clean, comfortable and modern. The food was good with enough variety to satisfy everyone's tastes. Everyone needs to experience the Grand Canyon for themselves. Words and photos do not capture the vastness or beauty of the Canyon. To have shared this with my grandson will provide memories that both of us will cherish forever.
