EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This is a great program for active grandparents. It has the right balance of learning, adventure and fun. It is a great opportunity to learn with and about your grandchild. This experience is one that will never be forgotten. We've been on this program twice and will be going again in a couple of years when the next grandkids are old enough.

I think in the future this program should use the Hualapai Lodge or some other lodging. The Caverns Inn is not up to Road Scholar standards. Not only is it falling down, literally, (I walked out of my room to find a sheet of paint fallen from the outside beam) but the housekeeping is very shoddy. The first night I had to wipe down the bedside table which was sticky with something spilled from the previous guests, the children had to clean out the pool in order to use it. If RS paid more than $20 per room, you were ripped off. This motel should be closed down.

I have only wonderful things to say about everything else. The food was good, the activities great and the guides wonderful. I would recommend this trip to anyone if the lodgings were different. Otherwise I would only recommend it if the participants are totally forewarned that they will be staying in sub-standard lodgings.

This was an intergenerational program in I participated with my 13-year-old grandson. Both of us enjoyed the hands-on activities, especially the horseback riding and rafting the river. Matt is very proud of learning to lasso. The helicopter ride was a first for both of us. The food was not fancy but was well-prepared and very good. The instructors, especially Karen, were welcoming and beyond compare. I would recommend this adventure without reservation to anyone who meets the criteria for registering.
