Truly one of our best vacations! Great leaders and remarkedly cohesive group. We saw the Canyon from views few tourists can see! Also I had opportunity to do things on my own.

This is a wonderful program. The leaders were extremely knowledgeble. The description of this program was accurate in that it stressed hiking and geology. The views seen were spectacular.

This is a terrific program, with history, geology, good hiking and fabulous photo opportunities. Everyone who is able should experience the Grand Canyon this way.

I had a wonderful time! The program was well organized and executed. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and careful to ensure that we took the proper precautions when hiking. The Grand Canyon, of course, was awesome - in the true sense of the word. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of the hikes. As for the factors that can't be controlled: the weather was perfect, and my hiking buddies were just amazing -intelligent, interesting and fun to be around. I feel I really 'lucked out'.

This Program is a wonderful experience which I would strongly recommend. The scenery is magnificent and the hiking exhilarating. You also learn a great deal about the geology and history of the Canyon. The Program is well thought out. For example, the hikes start easy but grow more vigorous, permitting participants to acclimate to the altitude and gain confidence. The motel where you stay is centrally located in the Park, allowing easy access to many places of interest. Finally, you visit different types of environments during the week. No day was repetitious. I always felt well cared for during this trip. Our guide, Lisa, in addition to being both friendly and very knowledgable, understood just how much information we could easily absorb at any one time. She also knew when to let the surroundings speak for themselves. I would note that the food is not necessarily gourmet, but it is plentiful and you always have multiple choices. This is a great way to visit and explore the Grand Canyon.

What a wonderful way to see and experience the Grand Canyon. I came away from this program with a great appreciation for the geology of this one of our national treasurers.

On this trip you will experience the Grand Canyon in ways that most visitors do not.

Terry Wangsness, Benson, AZ. This was my first Road Scholar Trip. Glad it didn't deter me from taking a second trip with RS. The last three were wonderful. I went on this trip in April 2008, I was not happy with our tour leader...by now you may have replaced him. He was unfriendly and not a good leader. A few of us were disappointed that there was more geology discussion then hiking, we wanted to hike. I have hiked with a friend in the Grand Canyon many times. My friend passed away and I didn't want to hike alone so went with the tour. A tour guide can make or break a trip.

This was a mother-daughter trip enjoyed by both of us.
Jeff and Jenn were great leaders, always encouraging even up the South Kaibab trail from Skeleton point at 83 degrees heat and 2000 feet to climb. Wonderful time of year, mostly cool and clear. All ages and abilities respected, a good introduction to RS for the daughter. All the participants were up-beat, friendly and fun to meet. We look forward to another trip with RS and Northern Arizona University.
