A whirlwind tour - Impressionism on a grand scale. Knowledgeable, lovely tour leader. Wonderful sites. Very nice group of participants. Gourmet food and wine. Croisi Europe a great line (ship).

Impressionism and so much more! This whirlwind tour exceeded all my expectations. Art, history and french culture come to life in the capable hands of our tour guide dynamic duo - Jennifer and Emmanuel. I didn't think anything could rival the beauty of Paris until we sailed down the Seine and experienced the exquisite French country side. Each meal was a joyous occasion, sharing stories and the days events with new found friends. Whether it's Manet, Millet or Monet...It was the trip of a lifetime. C'est magnifique! (and Bob's your uncle!)

If you have been enthralled by any impressionistic art do not miss this wonderful adventure. It was a delightful, informative, magnificent and illuminating program. Exciting and invigorating from the first day to the last.

Rick from Norwalk, CT Number of programs attended: 18

In many ways this program exceeded its somewhat narrow catalogue definition, providing a nice balance between the hustle and bustle of Paris and the bucolic settings of Normandy. Impressionism is there, but add to it a a good meal of French history, cathedrals, churches and the art which came both before and after. Jennifer, our guide, conveyed it all with an encyclopedic reservoir of information, a wonderful sense of humor, and endurance. Be prepared to learn far more than you may have anticipated at launch.

This was a fabulous trip. The guide was superb. The presentation of information was outstanding. The whole experience went beyond my expectations. I have a new understanding of Impressionist art and the history of the region over a broad time period.

Hugely educational. A feast for the eyes and ears. Local leaders of immense talent, knowledge and fun. An insiders view of the historic master artists and of today's colorful Paris scene. So easy to make new friends with common interests and zest for life. Easy access to the city lights. Beautiful, serene sailing on the Seine with eye-popping stops at Impressionists' homes, towns and museums along the way. Bravo!

Cyrelle from Arlington, VA Number of programs attended: 2

This program exceeded my expectations. It's not just about going to museums. You get to visit places where the artists lived and worked and see for yourself where some of the art was painted. Jennifer is a great guide and sneaks in lots of humor and jokes. There was a good balance of guided tours and explore on your own. Everyone in our group was friendly and welcoming to each other. CroisiEurope is also a wonderful cruise line--great food and service. This is a very active trip, so be sure to wear your best walking shoes!

Our Group Leader Jennifer was the "icing on the cake" of an amazing and rewarding trip with Road Scholar. This being my first trip with this group, and as a sole traveler, I was surprised and delighted with the level of comfort, educational information, and new friendships that I encountered. This was a wonderful learning experience lead by an expert, Jennifer Burdon, who has a wealth of knowledge to share on both art and history. Her charm, grace, and caring helped to build a cohesive bond with a small group of very interesting fellow travelers who also enjoyed learning. The riverboat experience was delightful with gourmet food. Not only did we learn about the impressionists but also some of the history of Normandy with visits to ancient towns, churches, and countryside. An excellent program that I highly recommend.

In the Footsteps of the Great Masters: What a wonderful tour which certainly met and exceeded my expectations. The stay in Paris, visit to many museums filled with spectacular art, cathedrals, and especially the cruise oh the MS Seine Princess River Ship was absolutely terrific. I enjoyed having a small group and found it easier to get to know everyone. Jennifer Burdon, our tour leader has a wealth of knowledge regarding impressionistic art and I learned a great deal from her. She made the tour extremely enjoyable. Thanks, Road Scholar for providing such a delightful tour.

Adrienne from Evanston, IL Number of programs attended: about 12 Date attended: 05/07/14-05/18/14 My husband and I enjoyed the trip thoroughly. Jenny, our guide, had a deliciously wry sense of humor and provided a treasure trove of information on Impressionist Art, Paris, and the highlights along the Seine. Cathy, her assistant, taught us about French customs, was extremely sensitive to guests with special needs, and even got some of us up on the dance floor. I loved spending my birthday on the boat, where the crew serenading me over a special dessert graced with a sparkler!

Wendy from Brick, NJ Number of programs attended: 1

The trip was wonderful! The highlight for me was Monet's gardens at Giverny. Our tour guide, Jenny, and her assistant Cathy were very informative and wonderfully pleasant. Unexpected changes in the schedule were handled seemingly effortlessly. The ship was very comfortable & crew was very attentive to all our American dietary requests. This was my first with Roadscholar and I will definately be taking another.

This was my first Roads Scholar trip and was truly enlightening and comfortable. The accommodations and dining were splendid, the guides so very helpful and informative and the other tour members were a hoot. I enjoyed each and every person. I am still learning and I just ordered a DVD on Van Gogh's life called "Brush with Genius" from Amazon and I will send it to some group members to enjoy also.

A wonderful experience with Jennifer Burdon, who is knowledgeable, charming, and a phenomenal teacher with a great sense of humor, to boot. A wonderful learning experience with Jennifer Burdon, the best guide you can imagine- knowledgeable, charming, and a phenomenal teacher. It is like a semester college course about the Impressionists in 10 days in the places where they actually painted. An added bonus was Jennifer's delightful assistant, Cathy Sanchez, who couldn't do enough for us. Our first Road Scholar trip and it was fabulous!

Ruth from Woodland Hills, CA Number of programs attended: 1

For anyone interested in the Impressionists, this is a fantastic tour. It is physically strenuous due to lots of cobblestones and stairs, but absolutely worth the effort! Our guide Jennifer Burdon was absolutely the best. She knows the material very well indeed. Road Scholar was wonderful to work with.
