Pam and Warren from Tampa, Florida Number of programs attended:2 Date attended:05/27/12-06/01/12 This is the 2nd program we have attended. This program was a bargain. The accommodations were great, the meals were mostly home cooked and definitely delicious. Nancy and Andre made us feel right at home. We both loved the opportunity to learn facinating history that we didn't know about. The group we were with was great. We traveled well together and enjoyed the company of the people we got to know. The program was well-conceived, well-executed, and we participants very well-fed. Hostess/leader Nancy is a many-faceted Renaissance Woman. This was my first small-group ElderHostel. I am happy to report that there were no rotten apples. What a group we were (4 Canadian, 8 American)! This program taps into a lot of enthusiasm resident in the Kootenays.

I have been on a wide variety of Road Scholar trips. This was the very best! The manor house was like another world; everywhere one looked there was something new to see. Even after being there for a week there would be something I hadn't noticed before. The hosts Nancy & Andre are wonderful and Nancy is a really good cook!!!! All the meals were satisfying and tasty. We all were very comfortable in the very well appointed rooms.
The Kootennay Rockies are spectacular scenery. The Craftpersons in Crawford Bay are diverse and very talented. There was enough time to visit the workshops at our leisure. The program was super; I learnd so much about the area and its inhabitance present and past. The presenters were enthusiastic, funny and really knew their subject. Ther was a good balance of 'lectures', field trips, time to read all the material that was available and free time to interact with the others and explore the manor property. My fellow scholars turned out to be the most congenial group I have ever had the privilege to be part of.
All in all I'm so glad I had the oportunity attend. I would reccommend this program to anyone as one not to be passed up. I have never returned from a trip and said,"There was nothing wrong with it": but I did for this one!!! It was Golden. Sincerely, Emily
