ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Our trip with Roadscholar was out of this world. Our leader, the people we traveled with we all were like a big family. My husband James and I recommend it highly. A once in a live experience. We saw so much, but always in a slow pace. Every Hotel, and every place we went to eat was great. We were never in a rush, as elderly cood easily keep up the pace. This was our third trip with Road Scholar, and we have been looking at our catalogs und are interested in another trip to Cuba. It took not more than 30 minutes after meeting the other people we traveled with before we were just one family. Again our LEADER was outstanding. It was all great fun. H. Pittman

Fantastic experience! Gillian, our tour guide, was organized, efficient, and helpful. Our three local guides, Simone (Salvador), Patricia (Rio de Janiero), and Carlos (Iguazu) were very knowledgeable, professional, patient, and kind. Our hotels were perfect: elegant, great locations, extensive and delicious breakfasts. Each city was unique and fascinating: such historic and beautiful sites in Salvador; in Rio, Sugar Loaf Mountain, Corcovado Mountain with the Christ the Redeemer Statue, Botanical Gardens, The beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, and especially the architecture by Oscar Niemeyer and Edgar da Fonseca were highlights; the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam was very interesting, and the Falls of Iguazu were just SPECTACULAR. Highly recommend taking the helicopter ride over the falls. This trip is a MUST for everyone!!

This Roads Scholar tour was truly superb in every aspect. Our tour guide, Gilliam made certain every aspect of our experience was smooth and problem free. In addition, all of the local experts were quite knowledgeable and helpful. My wife and I are effusive to all who will listen about this tour and about our several other Road Scholar experiences.

I highly recommend doing this trip!! We had a great group, guides and food. Gullian, the guide, was with us thru the entire trip and I she was probably the most organized and energetic guide I've had. She was terrific. I fulfilled a life dream being here. Two of us took 5:30am walks on the beach two mornings in Rio. Learning the history of Salvador was amazing. We took a cable car up to Sugar Load and a train and escalators to The Christ Statute. Iguassu is known to have the most water falls, Nigara produces the most energy, and Angel Falls is the highest. I found the fruits and veggies delicious. Paypaya every morning and mango were a treat. Lots of salads. Our last meal was at a Brazilian restaurant. This is a MUST trip!

The 3 Stars of Brazil is a must to go on. Each guide was very knowledgeable of their city and approachable. They made sure we had a great experience. The food was great, the accomodations were wonderful. I enjoyed every minute of the trip.
