What a wonderful trip! We saw and learned so much more than we could ever do on our own. Excellent leaders. Good, interesting lecturers, although we struggled with their accents a few times, as you would expect in any foreign country. Kids basically slept through bus lectures. Great variety in the program, as you can see in the write-up. Wish there was more time at some of the places, but that shows we really liked the activity. Rainy weather made a couple things less fun than they would otherwise have been. Good food, with beautiful presentation. Highlights were the dinner with a gracious, warm, friendly French family and the enhanced visit to the Eiffel Tower. We went to areas very few tourists see at the Eiffel Tower. We were lucky to consistently have nice, large hotel rooms for my group of 3. Hotel Normandy must have been gorgeous when new, something out of a movie, but now needs gutting and renovating. Still, it worked for us. Best of all, the people in our group all got along together.

Additional comments:
We had to climb many many stone steps on several occasions, not "several." Two weeks later, my knees still haven't recovered. I could manage, but several others couldn't, and there was no alternative.
Maybe it was because our name is at the end of the alphabet, but we always got the poorest room, and always got it last. In fact the Hotel Normandy in Paris put my grandson and me in a SINGLE room, on the top floor, with extremely low water pressure (no hot water available), after telling us to wait, wait, while they took care of everyone else. Only THEN did they tell us they were overbooked. We eventually were moved to a barely adequate double room, while everyone seemed to have beautifully furnished comfortable rooms. And we were staying the whole week! Really poor hospitality, and their advertised WiFi didn't work either. Location very good, but that's about all. It would be nice if we all, having paid the same, got the same.
