See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Our leader was knowledgeable, entertaining, fun - and she was instrumental in the success of the trip. The experience of seeing and feeling the places where the impressionists walked, the landscapes, buildings they painted, their homes, brought a sense of intimacy to their work and lives. It opened a wonderful new world of impressionism for me.
The trip was terrific in every way!

The leader is what makes this program. She is well educated and informed. She adds the things that make the stories fun. This is a busy program and I came home tired but inspired. A must do!

Jennifer from Hayden Lake, ID Number of programs attended: 4
Date attended: 04/22/12 - 05/05/12
Participating in the program "The Impressionists: A Retrospective" was stimulating, highly educational and just the right mixture of leaning about the Impressionist painters and their times. Viewing where they lived and worked brought more understanding of what they painted and why. I recommend this highly even if you are not an artist yourself but do love leaning about art. The visits to the many museums and homes where these great painters lived and worked is worth the trip alone much less seeing the actual paintings.

Pat from Basking Ridge, NJ Number of programs attended: 1
Date attended: 04/03/11 - 04/16/11
This trip was just wonderful! It was so much more than I expected. Our guide, Geraldine, was the greatest. She was so well versed and so kind and thoughtful to all.
The hotels, food, transportation, events...everything was so well planned and was so very enjoyable.
Also, it was my first trip with Road Scholar and I was very nervous when I was signing up for it and your staff could not have been nicer and they answered all my questions.
Thank you for the great work you do and I am so glad that you exist. I am now signing up for another trip!

Karen from Centerville, OH Number of programs attended: 6
Date attended: 09/04/11 - 09/17/11
This program is great for artists and those interested in art. This program is extremely physically challenging and should not be done for those who have health problems. I found parts of the program were not handled well making for some dissatisfaction with the program. However the content of the program for those interested in art is great.
