While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This is an echo of what my fellow travelers have said...this is a fantastic tour. Ireland is a beautiful country with extraordinarily friendly people. Our guides, Beibhinn and Grainne, were outstanding...well organized, knowledgeable, good company and wonderful with the kids. My great-niece told me several times that she didn't want this trip to end...she was having too much fun.

I had a friend who previously had attended this program. Her only advice to me was to buy a rain jacket AND rain pants.I used them both BUT the rain did not slow us down one bit. We all took it in stride and had a wonderful time. The leaders were terrific and the green of Ireland is all that I heard it would be.

I cannot say enough good things about this program. We recently returned from Ireland with the Road Scholar Intergenerational program and my grandchild is still talking non-stop about all the wonderful experiences. The lectures and activities were all interesting and we looked forward to each day with eager anticipation. We did a lot of walking, met wonderful people, learned so many interesting facts about Ireland, fell in love with the country and the people and did all this while in the rain almost every day. Bring rain gear, good walking shoes, some warm clothing and be prepared to have the time of your life!!

Where to start? How about we thank our terrific leaders Beibhinn (Beivan) O'Connor and Grainne Cassin (she is moving away :-( they certainly did a fabulous job making sure all went well. Learning about the history of Ireland and hands on day trips was truly a fun experience. Going to Kissane family sheep farm, Blarney and Bunratty castles,Killarney National Park where we learned all about the husbandry of our natural surroundings. Historical Cork and Cobh (Cov in Gaelic) where the Titanic and Lusitania passengers left on their final voyage, standing in what was the heart of historic Old town Galway along the quay, so much was learned of the people that made and make this wonderful country. The final night at a medieval feast with great entertainment (chorus, harpist and fiddler) were superb. Also a shout out to the Celtic Steps group who were even better than a Riverdance performance!! Amazing trip, great group of leaders and fellow participants. Recommend to all interested in learning an interesting part of human history. A job well done Road Scholar (Thumbs Up)

Have a grand time climbing castles's steps, kyacking, dancing a jig, playing penny whistles, kissing that famous stone, visiting the Cork Gaol, -you really wouldn't want to stay there! -- and the Poulnabrone Dolmen and Cliffs of Moher. Knappogue Castle banquet was lovely. Beware, the food is so good on this tour you will diet for the rest of the summer!
