See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This was my first Road Scholar trip and I would give it 5 stars! The itinerary was a wonderful mix of lectures, neighborhood walks, art, museums, music, and just the right amount of free time. I only wish it lasted another 3 or 4 days so that I could have seen more of the sights. Our leader, Cristine, was charming and reassuring. She discussed how the menu was selected. My suggestion would be that Road Scholar provide a choice for lunch and dinner between two similar priced items each meal.

Sophisticated in-depth classroom lectures on Venetian mercantile history, and the culture, art and music of the region. Lots of urban walking. Excellent orientations to Padua and Venice. Side trip to Ravenna to see stunning mosaics. Accomplished, informative tour guides in each locale. Tour encourages you to eat local specialties, too!

An excellent program with beautiful sights. An art lover would be delighted. Venice is a beautiful, magical city. Its construction is amazing, especially considering the age of the city.

This was a wonderful trip with just the right in depth information on and views of the historical and artistic endeavors of primarily pre-renaissance northern Italy. Good food, guides and lecturers and participants made this a very memorable experience.

Both Padua and Venice are interesting, but Venice is a one of a kind city .There is no other place in the world that contains the combination of site seeing opportunities, totally unique transportation and historical importance. The absence of cars, motorcycles and bikes, combined with the vaporetos (water buses) was amazing.

This was my first Program and I really enjoyed Padua/ Venice. The more in-depth visit to these two fabulous Italian cities was just about perfect..Our guides and tour coordinator were just the best!!! I highly recommend this tour especially for Art Lovers.

We have been in Venice several time over the years, but only for 1-2 day at a time. We always felt that it is one of the worlds special cities, and it deserved more time..This trip is well designed to let you get a real taste of Venice plus several others treasures in the area. And there is great gelato !
