Ever want to take a trip to France without leaving North America? Then this program is for you. My wife and I give the program 4 stars, and it was 5 stars for us since we had SALLY as our program coordinator. Sally made this program very enjoyable with her concern for the group, and her love of Quebec. Here's hoping you enjoy it as much as we have. William & Mary

Enjoy a glimpse of vintage France without the long air ride. Explore French living; taste the food; walk in the footsteps of early explorers, and learn how these events have influenced the Canada of today.

This program was led by Sally Kelner who did her very best to meet the needs of each individual in addition to the program itself. Stephen Marchessault was the primary instructor and had a wealth of information to share. He provided an excellent overall historical view of Quebec. Remember to bring your VERY BEST walking shoes to navigate the many hills and cobblestone streets you will traverse.

Quebec City is a wonderful European city in Canada. The tour is well organized and the educational component is excellent.

It's like being in Europe without the long plane trip. French Canadians are welcoming, friendly, happy and hospitable. The history of Quebec is complex, interesting and very much tied to our own history in the USA. Be prepared for a variety of weather.

This tour was fantastic! Susan Sebert, our local guide, was friendly, knowledgeable, committed to her job yet fun! All of the experts that joined us were Very competent in their fields, good speakers and genial. A big plus was the earbud listening devices so we heard the speakers well even when walking in front of the group. The accomadations and the provided meals were very nice. Since my only other Road Scholar experience was 6 years ago in Mexico and awful, I was thrilled to find such a wonderful program in a great historical city!

The food was excellent, the weather perfect, and the trips organized in a sequence to provide an overview of a city important in the history of North America. Quebec City is lovely, both the upper city and the lower city. The suggested readings provided a good understanding of Quebec's history which was then illustrated by local walking tours and bus trips to the Plains of Abraham. This is an excellent program with knowledgeable interpreters giving background presentations.

This tour was lead by an absolutely wonderful leader Susan Sebert! It was well-organized and a lot of fun. The local presenters were knowledgeable and personable. Our hotel room was spacious and comfortable (and breakfasts were really good). The restaurants had delicious meals. Having this tour during the annual summer music festival in July was a big bonus. Don't hesitate to sign up for this tour!

We attended the Williamsburg, Va Road Scholar tour (Williamsburg, Jamestown & Yorktown the week before joining the Quebec City program. It was a great way to understand the early permanent settlements of North America by the Euopeans. As usual, both programs were wonderful. Bob from Fresno, California

Cecile from Bryn Mawr, PA Number of programs attended: 18

A European city in the western hemisphere, absolutely beautiful and should be visited by everyone.
