EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I have traveled all over the world and this was my first trip
with RoadScholar. I was disappointed with the disconnect between the group leader and program staff. This walking was
level 3 most of the time except for two hikes in Lund which
were level 5 and just right. The trouble was the leader was
not given enough time to do a proper hike and had to push the
pace. We had a wonderful group and the weather was in our favor and my husband and I enjoyed the landscape of BC. We
signed up with RS for an October trip (famous composers) and
hopefully we will have a better organized team. Looking forward and thank you.

Road Scholar's response:
Thanks for sharing your review, Vicky. Adjustments have been made to this trip based on participant feedback and it ran very successfully in 2012 with the changes in place, as the overall 5 star rating implies.

We have traveled all over the world mostly on hiking trips.
This was our first trip with Road Scholar. When you travel
one needs to be very flexible but, the disconnect between
our group leader and the program staff was annoying. It seemed
that everyday there was a timing issue. Two of our hiking
leaders set to fast a pace and on the last hike in Lund 4 out of 14 people did not go. I would like to have heard more information about the first nation (indian) people. Powell River is an old mill town and spending all day there including the beach walk was a waste of time. We suggest the
trip be changed to 3 night in Whistler and 3 nights in Lund.
With some adjustment this can be a very good trip.
