The snorkeling and kayaking were great; I wish we could have done more. The leaders were helpful and attentive; Anne came up with a good “rainy day” activity. Food was great. The airport transfer was flawless. Some members of the group had luxurious rooms; ours was so-so. There was some wasted time that could have been put to better use.

I really enjoyed this trip! The leaders were great as were the accomadations. If you like water activities in a tropical climate, consider this one. The complimentary shuttle was a great add on. Wish Road Scholar would offer this on more programs.

Who is a happy snorkler? MEEEEE! ALL my aprehensions about really learning to snorkel and exploring in the ocean began to desolve the VERY first day. The Group leaders, Alberto and Heather were so on point: compassionate, knowledgable, funny and sharks in the water. The sequence of learning how use and becoming comfortable with the equipment and the ocean really worked for me, so by the final day I chose to go "alone" to see the coral. Amazingly, everything clicked in. Of course, it also helps if your group members are as supportive as mine were. I scored a waterangel with Barb, who reached out on my first ocean tiptoe away from the boat, to take me to the reef. This program is beautifully designed for the eager learner with apprehensions about skill and the bottomless ocean :-)

Great active trip with gentle kayaking on calm, serene waters in the mangrove swamp, punctuated by energetic boating on the ocean to the reef's dive spots. Our snorkeling was tough due to high winds the second week of February causing a 2 foot chop. As the first mate said, "If you can snorkel in this, you can snorkel in anything!" Younger people had no problem; seniors, not so great.

I just cannot say enough about the staff. Even tempered, adaptable. Knowledgeable

( this is the 3rd time I've tried this - I give up !) This was a cold & stormy winter, and the snorkeling suffered...( I should have gone later in the season...)- cold & wavy...a fight to keep the snorkel clear... but the guides, Estere & Anne, were excellent - confident & competent...all other aspects of the trip were Excellent - the Kayaking, the Everglades tour, the Food, etc. - just watch the weather...Jim

This a great program, the snorkeling is not for the faint at heart, it was more than I could handle. The ocean was rough and cold. I gave up the first day when I saw white caps breaking, pretty to watch but not for someone for is not a strong swimmer. February the water is cold, I should have waited until April and the water had a chance to warm up.

Loved this program, as there was one single man on the trip and I got him hook, line and sinker! This was my 22nd RS and I have been looking all this time for a nice male participant. At last! Great program and even better leaders! Estere and Anne are the tops!!! Weather was NOT that great, but the group was awesome. Try it, you'll like it

We had a wonderful time in the Florida Keys with Road Scholar! We stayed in a lovely resort, had fun snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, paddle boarding, learning about the area, visiting state and national parks, eating in great local restaurants, enjoying delicious picnics prepared by our terrific guide, Alberto, and spending time with a small group of 9 welcoming and friendly travelers. This is our 10 RS trip and the first time we used the listening devices. We found them to be very helpful on the nature/wildlife hikes. We highly recommend this fun, educational, and exciting trip! We also had beautiful weather.

This is a delightful program, providing an opportunity to experience kayaking and snorkeling in a totally different environment, yet on a non-threatening level. The lovely accomodations also made it a "vacation."

I had a fantastic time. We kayaked, snorkeled three spots on the coral reef, saw the Everglades and had the fragile, complex ecosystems explained by a terrific and knowledgeable leader. The food was good, too. An excellent trip.

If you want to enjoy outdoor activities, very good food, and an iconic Florida setting, this trip would be for you!

If you enjoy snorkeling, you'll love this trip. We went to three different coral reef locations, where the fish were extraordinary and the water was clear. The day trip to Anhinga Trail in the Everglades was icing on the cake.
