See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

An educational program that fulfilled a dream I had for years. Enjoyed it very much.

This was a trip that met my expectations and far exceeded what I wanted to see. I had been on Amazon jungle trips but this was different and yet fun. I was glad that I was able to take the entire Ecudor/Peru trip.

This was an amazing trip of a lifetime. I loved every minute of it, even the rain. Great trip!

Wonderful introduction and exposure to some of the grandeur, diversity, and magic of Peru. Incredible to experience the Amazon and the Andes on the same trip, truly a sensory wonderland. Guides were good, food was great, and accommodations generally excellent. A few problems on the Amazon due to unusually low water in Sep, and engine noise at night-- bring earplugs. But overall a fabulous trip.

An overall great trip, but the experience with the trip on Jungle Discovery is in serious need of improvement.

Macchu Picchu - Inca portion great. Amazon trip needs major revision, and a different boat

Joan from Hollywood, MD Number of programs attended: 14
Date attended: 10/26/11 - 11/07/11
This was a great trip! The trip leader Ofelia was outstanding, probably the best we have had on any other trip!
Everything was explained in a very detailed way, all but one of our speakers was knowledgeable. The lecture on musical instruments of Peru was fascinating! The trip has two very different parts- learning about the various cultures with an emphasis on the Incas culminating in our visit to Machu Picchu, which in person as opposed to pictures is mind blowing. The second part is on the Delphin 2 which is an extremely comfortable boat with a great staff and outstanding food. Each day we had trips on skiffs which held about 10-12 on a number of rivers and streams to see dolphins, tropical birds, snakes, sloths, llamas, alpacas, and much more.
We had a chance to visit villages in the Amazon area and see a variety of crafts.
Two warnings- if you live at sea level as we do check with your physician about bringing something to deal with the altitude at Cusco and rest up before the program as the arrival night and the early departure on the second day makes for two very short times for sleep.
