Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This trip was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The guides were knowledgeable, accommodating and fun! Great effort was taken to make all participants prepared and comfortable for the tours and travel. The bus rides were never too long or arduous, and the driver was careful and competent. This was our first organized tour, and we are now looking forward to many more Road Scholar trips. Thanks for a very special experience and for all the new friends we met on the Morroco trip.

This is an excellent program. The education component is outstanding. The guides, Rachid and Abdou, were not only knowledgable, but caring, friendly, candid and fun to be with. Morocco is an exciting country to visit. Much more diverse than I expected. I recommend it highly.

Morocco is an under appreciated destination for those who love the beautiful and exotic. This program was fabulous in its successful exploration of the sites, and especially the unique culture of Morocco. The guides were exceptional.

The trip was outstanding! It exceeded our expectations in many ways and gave us welcome insight into the Islamic world as well as the scenic beauty and culture of Morocco, the warmth of its people, and its many handcrafts.

This trip to Morocco was exciting and I agree with Paula and Sandra our guides were exceptional. I thought my trip would end when the ATM devoured my card. Nabil and Abdou arranged for me with one of their friends to go to the bank and get my card the next day!! The sand storm was the highlight but meeting my group of diverse adventurous people was also heartwarming. This group of 27 was A+.

Morocco: Every Road Scholar trip has it's own highlights, and this was one of the best...so far. Our guides were, without doubt, some of the most knowledgeable and accommodating that I've experienced. Every day was a new and exciting adventure, from the foods, culture, environs, and people, to the night we had to be rescued from the sandstorm in the Sahara (Road Scholar couldn't have planned that one). Every detail of our trip was well executed, yet there was enough flexibility for those who wanted to do some unplanned activities.
From the scenery in the High Atlas Mountains and the Sahara desert, to the smells, sounds, and endless parade of donkey-carts in the enclosed alleyways of Fez, every moment was filled with exciting new experiences. And, the lectures that we received along the way, only added to our understanding of what we were seeing.
I highly recommend this trip for those who want to see what the other parts of the world have to offer.

Morocco: Melting Pot of Cultures trip is 5/5. Nabil and Abdou were very complementary and provided alot of information and also were patient and kind with us. Terrific guides. Thank you. After the tour which ended October 16 I returned to Marrakech where I stayed in Riad le Clos des Arts operated by Massimo and Giorgina Cattaneo. An enriching experience to stay in a riad within the medina. This trip to Morocco has been my favorite thus far. The country and its people are welcoming and on the move! Thank you Road Scholar for such an outstanding trip.

This is a fabulous trip. The terrain in Morocco surprised me. It is so varied and beautiful including deserts, canyons (to look like Grand Canyon), oasis, and medinas.Enjoyed to hiking opportunities too. Brought home some fresh dates!

We have just returned from Morocco - what an exhilarating cultural experience. We received an excellent coverage of the country - from bustling cities with their crowded souks to Saharan sand dunes silent under a night sky of brilliant stars. The food was fantastic with Moroccan fruit such as oranges and strawberries being the most flavorful we have ever tasted. We have tavelled on well over 20 Elderhostel/Road Scholar International trips and rate this one as being the best of the best. If you have not thought of Morocco as your next destination, put it as #1 on your "Bucket List". We highly recommend it. Jackie and Maurice Black
