Very well-chosen and unhurried itinerary as we explored the west country literary trails of Hardy, Austen, and Christie. Some very atmospheric pub lunches included, one being a chance to have a pint at Sherlock Holmes' favorite London watering hole in London. Hotels, and meals therein, were very good, and our schedule allowed free time to take in some public events going on, such as a concert at the Abbey and a performance of Henry V in Bath. Our author/lecturer/historian Kevin Flude delighted us with some off-the-tourist-guide places and information, and helped pass the coach-travel hours by reading from Dickens and other authors. This is a "must" for lovers of English lit or just the wonderful English countryside.

Exceptional tour, wonderful opportunity to be introduced to or learn more about Hardy, Austen, Doyle, Dickens and my favorite mystery writer Christie. Enjoyed the lectures, wonderful tours and information imparted of countryside villages and towns. I encourage anyone who enjoys great literature and those who wish to learn more about these Authors and their writings to enroll in this trip. Carol Ann Braun
