Road Scholar
Program #12185RJ
11 Days | 10 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

No Visit to Great Britain would be complete without visiting Wales with Conway Davies as you guide. You'll be surprised as to what you'll learn and smile about on this trip. You'll hate for it to end.

I agree with my fellow travelers that this was an exceptional tour - and those fellow travelers had a lot to do with it. Everything was great - I wanted to see the country where my grandfather was born, and I not only did that, and learned much about it, but I found the very place. This trip was not only educational but entertaining! I highly recommend it.

This tour was everything I hoped it would be and more. We saw more and learned more about Wales than I expected. I would love to do it all over again!

I highly recommend this tour of Wales. I enjoyed every minute of the lectures, museum and library visits, and visits to ancient sites. The leader and instructor were both exceptional and provided my group with wonderful experiences and memories.

I just got back from the Road Scholar program in Wales and I would recommend it to anyone interested in British history, the Welsh language or literature, geology, arts and crafts, music. An entertaining and informative tour of the lesser known areas of Wales. A great experience!

Conway Davies is an exceptional guide. He is deeply knowledgeable as well as entertaining and is excited about sharing his passion for Wales with others. I've not ever been able to get thru much of Dylan Thomas' work, but as Conway read us the Poem on His Birthday overlooking the Taf estuary from the Writing Shed vantage point, I was awed. Very moving.

This is an excellent program covering significant aspects of the history and culture of Wales. This is one of the best Road Scholar programs we have attended. Highly rated.
