Things I thought would be boring but weren't: Chas Dickens' home and the British Library. Disappointing: Pub tour [fake Sherlock Holmes room] and the theater [British humour and accent - a deadly combination]. Fish and chips = deep fried fish and french fries - give it a pass and try other menu items when you're on your own. London is a "foodie" town and there are lots of very good restaurants. Everything else was an 8 or more out of 10. Feel free to contact me directly if you would like suggestions on how to get more out of your trip.

Road Scholar's London Cultural Heritage program was just wonderful - steeped in history, culture, excellent food and accommodations, friendship, and fun. Well organized!

My first RS trip and won't be my last! RS staffer Carole Flynn kept us informed, prepared with details for meets, etc.,addressing any need or question immediately. Kevin Flude presented London on many levels and aspects at each itinerary site. Historical, archaeological, architectural, literary, and political facts were explained and questions readily clarified. Outstanding planning by all. Location, food, RS staff, Blue Badge Chris, and hotel staff - Great team.

Very well organized trip with two spectacular leaders. Suggest R.S. include Buckingham Palace on Aug. & Sept. itineraries. Otherwise, travelers might consider purchasing tickets to the Palace & garden & gallery independently.

This is a thorough view of London - interesting and enjoyable. More walking and standing than expected. The hotel (Radisson Blu) is well located, but lots of steps.

This was our first Road Scholar trip, and it was fabulous. I feel like we saw so much of London, and learned so much. And the biggest benefit was the group--leaders and participants. We were all different, but interested in everything we saw and learned. However, the biggest plus was that being with this group of people was fun, the hotel was nice and in a great location, the meals were very good, and last but not least, London is a wonderful city!

the only part I was unhappy about was the very expensive air fare. After speaking to other partcipants I believed we paid much more that they did. Also, other members came from NY airports, so why didn't we travel together to London, as we travelled on the same day? I believed my daughter and I overpaid for our airfare. It didn't seem fair.

I highly recommend this program to anyone who is interested in seeing London. Our Course Director, Kevin Flude, was wonderful and always had something new to say about even familiar sights.

The program London's Cultural Heritage was wonderful. We went Sept. 14 and the weather was perfect. The instructor Kevin had a vast knowledge of London & British history and added significantly to our experience. The other participants were delightful and the hotel was located in a convenient area, near shops, restaurants and transportation. I would rate this program a '10'!

Really well done tour with terrific leaders. I stayed an extra two weeks in London afterwards so this Road Scholar kick off was very helpful to me and my confidence in getting around London. Leanne Portland, Oregon

Our primary instructor Kevin and Blue Guide Chris were both knowledgeable & witty and told wonderful anecdotal stories (Kevin has so much info in his head I thought his brain would explode!). Jan managed the trip efficiently & was fun to talk to. I've been in London before but saw more this time--lots of "off the beaten track" visits. One downer, the hotel restaurant & bar were being refurbished and our meals were in a depressing basement room with moss as a center piece. Included out meals at the Criterion & Sherlock Holmes Pub (sticky toffee pudding!) were great. Hotel is close to a tube station so made easy access for leisure time travel. Trip was "top notch."

This program is very informative, inclusive of most major sites. The guides were superb.
