This is a terrific trip filled with beautiful sites and lots of learning about the history, culture and geography of these four great nations. The accommodations and food were great. We enjoyed our travel companions and group leaders. The trip was a great value.

Part 10 My best purchases were • Red Dala Horses – red-painted wooden horses, a symbol of Sweden • The Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen with 23 tales – including “The Princess and the Pea”, “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” “The Little Mermaid” and “The Ugly Duckling” – alongside beautiful artwork from the 1870s to the 1980s by legendary artists at Carlsberg Glyptotek Art Museum • Woven wheat wall hanging at Alsters Herrgard, Karlstad, the manor house of poet Gustaf Froding • At Drottningholm Palace gift shop, a blue oval tray with a Cherub over a garland It is a copy of a wall panel of the Blue Cabinet, Tullgarn Palace (the summer palace of the Swedish royals) It was a bummer that my “debit card without a chip” did not work to get local currency in ATMs. Jane, Carol M, Pat, and Currency Exchanges exchanged some of my U.S. dollars. I used U.S. dollars (received change in local currency) and my “credit card with a chip” at most places. Some good packs: lots of $1/$5/$10/$20, a rain coat/umbrella, warm jacket, a dress for dinner, 2 pairs of shorts, flip-flops for the shower, golf hat, alarm clock, decaffeinated tea bags, Dove, Tide, Sony earphones, and antibacterial hand wipes. “Tack” Road Scholar for the 40-year celebration!

Our first tour with Road Scholar provided an excellent introduction to Scandinavia. The hotels, food, lectures and guided tours were wonderful, and we enjoyed other museums and sights on our own. We couldn't have had a more congenial group or a better time!

A delightful trip with excellent guides and presenters. The sites and excursions provided an excellent over view of each city. I enjoyed the variety of local transportation - walking, boat/ferry, tour bus, city bus and subways.

A great program, with in-depth examination of the four Scandinavian Capitals. Knowledgeable local experts give background information, walking tours give close-up view of these beautiful old cities.

The trip to the Four Capitals was well worth the cost and the time. Annette Maman was an enthusiastic leader as she provided a lot of information about Denmark. The only regret is that there was too little time in each country. All of the leaders were excellent and Shearer Weigert was very good at keeping track of all of us without being obnoxious. She genuinely made friends with all and effectively managed diverse needs for wheel chairs, stragglers and individual needs. Odd, Elisabeth, Mia, were all excellent, knowledgeable leaders. Ms. Brum in Copenhagen was a delightful speaker and a woman who loved her profession and was refreshing in her speech.
