Program #2534RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Absolutely marvelous experience, and I am know starting a scrapbook of our adventures ( now need to do last years and I have at least 5 more to do in upcoming years) Tell my grandkids it will be fun to look at when I am OLD and in the nursing home.

This was my first experience participating in the road scholar experience with my grandchild. We were all a little nervous what to expect. From the time we first met as a group there was a great feeling of being special to the program leaders. Everyday was filled with new experiences for all of us. I will never forget it and am looking forward to bringing my next grandchild to the program. Thank you Road Scholar staff for making this a trip we will always remember!!!!

My grandson and I had a grand time! He was fully engaged in the program which was well planned and well presented by young "zoologists" who were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. This was my third intergenerational trip with Road Scholar, and the best so far!

This was a wonderful trip with great leaders. Be aware, though, that the "beach time" is only a small part of the trip and was non-existent for the activities planned for the adults. Some of us enjoyed staying with the kids. There was also a lot of down time at the condo swimming pool, which the kids enjoyed very much but which might not be different from your normal summer activities at home.

This was a terrific program. We had rain, but we were able to enjoy many things anyway. We adopted a turtle before we came and this made my granddaughter very excited when we went to the Sea Turtle Center. We were able to see a sea turtle in its own environment and this made my granddaughter very excited. The shrimp trawling was a highlight since it involved touching and learning about sea life. The entire staff was amazing and the entire experience was absolutely wonderful. I fully recommend this adventure!

"Come along for a shrimp trawl on a real shrimp vessel, The Lady Jane. Boat into the Atlantic Ocean where you will seine for shrimp or for whatever comes up in the nets. We always bring up a few sharp, stingrays, shrimp and all kinds of fish. Your guide on-board will tell you all about boating and shrimping. Boat trip is about two hours long." Uploaded By: Bobbie
