EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I just loved the opportunity to explore so many of the neighborhoods and out-of-the-way sites in New York City, and our guide Ray was fantastic! He was always interesting and entertaining, and extremely helpful when we wanted to take off on our own. The hearing devices were a great help during our group wanderings, especially when getting on and off the subway. The High-Line was a wonderful new way to see the city, and the walk across the Brooklyn Bridge was a perfect ending. I can't wait to sign up for the Five Boroughs program as well!

This is a wonderful excursion for anyone interested in seeing NYC is a completely different light! I learned about some of the individual neighborhoods and their history while walking their streets. The staff for this excursion were very good, very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very accommodating -- a plus for this type of program. I heartily endorse this program in it'c current format and suggest not tampering with it.

Sue Katz took advantage of the very small group for this program. Since she is not a regular guide, if she wanted to check out a restroom location for other times she did-i.e.- at Grant's Tomb. We checked out a church converted to a set of shops because she wanted to. She talked constantly and often as we were walking not all of us could hear her. Since we learned how to navigate the Metro on our own, we will go back to NYC , but on our own and not with a program or group. We were treated like children getting on and off the subway while she held the door with her leg. Rich and I actually left the group as often as possible in order to avoid having to be with her and the chatter. She would think out loud about numerous options, then decide on her own what to do and how. It became annoying. The 2 excellent things were the visit to the synagogue and his talk and especially to the tenement museum and their tour. Thank you. Pam Blaha
