ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

The Christmas in Quebec City program exceeded my expectations and gave me confidence in participating in future Road Scholar programs.

This is a wonderful trip -- Quebec City is beautiful at Christmas and the trip takes full advantage of that. Everything was super -- guides, hotel, food, tours, programs. An A+ from us!

This program was everything I'd hoped for--snow and more snow. The city was a Christmas card itself, from the snow-covered park beneath my window to the excited cries of Joyeaux Noel as we hurried into the warmth of the wonderful restaurants. Chateau Frontenac, dressed in Christmas finery, was a treat in itself, from its cozy shops to the helpful staff. If you're looking for a getaway Christmas, do sign up for this at least one time. Who could forget a private evening concert in Salon Rose, with snowflakes drifting by outside?

We both had a great time: the food lived up to expectations of French cuisine, and the room in the Chateau was as comfortable as one could possibly wish. Everything was within walking distance so we could work off some calories, as well as not have to ride busses! Enjoyed talking with people -- all kinds of people, in both languages! And the music. Many many thanks to Sylvie and Andree!
Happy New Year to our fellow Roadies!

Enchanting-the food-the hotel-our guides-simply enchanting. The walking tour, the lecture, the classical music...all of it. My 1st Rd. Schlr. experience. I didn't expect it to be so pleasurable. The whole experience made me want to return to Quebec someday and also take another Road Scholar tour. Mahalo to all of you.

Christmas in Quebec City was the best Christmas present ever! I loved walking the quaint streets, snow crunching and cold on my face. Christmas trees and lights and decorations were everywhere. The restaurants that Sylvie and Andree picked were the best! Delicious food and service were well worth the price of the program, as were the educators and of course the Chateau Frontenac. Wonderful!

This was our third program with Sylvie and Andree - we think they are wonderful group leaders who work well together and really care about the group. Old Quebec at Christmas is simply the most charming, romantic place imaginable. We heard about the history and culture, had a beautiful carriage ride, crunched the snow underfoot , and even took the toboggan ride - twice! And ingested lots of delicious calories including that multi-course Christmas dinner. The Chateau Frontenac was everything we imagined, and we highly recommend this trip!
