Road Scholar
Program #19020RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Southern hospitality is still alive and in full swing in Atlanta. Sherrill , Sue and Gale made our trip a most enjoyable experience. Our history professor was excellent. Two presentations as well as a tour of the Civil War exhibit at the Atlanta History Center was so informative ...I especially liked the lunch at the Fickle Pickle, learning about Margaret Mitchell, seeing the glorious Christmas lights at the Botanical Gardens and to top it off a fabulous Atlanta Symphony concert with the music and lyrics of George and Ira Gershwin on New Years Eve. I have never been disappointed with a Road Scholar trip and this is no exception. Thanks to all.

A delightful program! For us Yankees, our stay in Atlanta was warm, entertaining, enlightening and full of laughter! Sherrill, Susan and Gale are three Georgia peaches who made all of this happen. Thank you!

This trip runs heavy to walking through houses (and gardens) decorated for holidays. If you're looking for much history of area, you will be disappointed, as it is much less in depth than other Road Scholar Programs. (The speaker on Battle of Atlanta was excellent, but he only was given one hour to speak on the morning of departure) The program ran well in general, considering 37 participants :)

We attended Program #19020RJ, Atlanta for The Holidays. We enjoyed all aspects of the program. Very well planned with our Road Scholar coordinator Sheryl attending to every need and keeping the group on schedule. Highly recommended.
