EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

THIS WAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO ENJOY THE CULTURE IN THIS PART OF THE UNITED STATES AND TO LEARN MUCH ABOUT THE HISTORY AND HOW IT HAS AFFECTED OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH MEXICO.

For a magical experience that will enhance your holidays, consider the San Antonio Lights Festival in December. I went because my mother went some years ago and loved it. She was right! You'll also learn some Texas history presented in a fascinating, accessible manner by skilled tour guides and lecturers. The art museum and WW II Museum are so well done.

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this program. The directors were very informed about all the places we visited and the sights we saw. It was also a great group of people who were members of the tour. Let's do it again sometime in the future.

See one of America's most unique cities with the Riverwalk lit up for Christmas when the weather is pleasantly cool. I'm an East Coaster who always wondered what all that Texas hoopla was about and now I'm hooked and will be back to see more. The program was varied and comprehensive including not just San Antonio but also visits to two National Parks (Missions and LBJ ranch) and to small, smaller, and extremely small Texas towns in the hill country. The Road Scholar group leader was a competant friendly tour guide who kept things organized. For RS'ers from the sixties: the trip to the LBJ ranch will get you seeing this president from our troubled youth in a whole new way. Accomodations -- at a historical hotel next to the Alamo -- were ideally located and very pleasant. Overall an excellent program.
