EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Since it was a while after we returned from our overall travel which included 2 programs I forget some names of instructors names and actual lecture content. There is some benefit of filling out forms at end of programs

A wonderful program and a great price. I had no idea Richmond was so important in the history of our country.
The instructors were very good. Ed had a great personality, funny and so knowledgeable about Richmond. I also loved the musical instrument night and the songs our instructor sang. The art museum and the capital were some of the highlights of the trip. The mansions were great too.On our free afternoon some of us walked down to the Jefferson Hotel which is a must see.Our leader provided us with wonderful maps of downtown Richmond which were very helpful. Two nights our group walked a block from our hotel to a neat restaurant which was a nice way to give us some variety in our meals. I was very impressed with the program and would recommend it to anyone. It is so nice to just hop on the bus and leave all the details to Road Scholar.

This program provided an excellent opportunity to peel the layers of Richmond's fascinating and kind of crazy history from today back to the 1600s. The lectures by architecture critic and VCU professor Edwin Slipek were particularly informative and entertaining. October is a beautiful time of year in Virginia, which added to the enjoyment of field trips to local mansions and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
