Road Scholar
Program #19687RJ
13 Days | 12 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

What a fabulous experience! Spending time with your grandchild exploring Kenya may well be the best trip you have ever taken. Not only do you learn about the animals and the country, you also get to know your grandchild is a unique way.

Art from Livermore, CA Number of programs attended: 29
Date attended: 07/10/14 - 07/22/14
Food was terrific. All staff were as polite and helpful as could be. Saw many thousands of all sorts of animals roaming in the wild. The roads were terrible. The visit to the school and Maasai village were eye opening. Well worth the trip.

Virginia from New Meadows, ID Number of programs attended: 15
Date attended: 07/11/13 - 07/23/13
Two years ago I took my then 16-year-old grand-daughter with me on this program. This year her 14-year-old sister joined me. Both trips were wonderful experiences. This program is well planned and, as Warren from Charlottesville, VA said about his 06/30/11 participation, it's a terrific program covering a multitude of topics. The "frosting" is seeing the animals in their natural habitat.
