Loved the diversity of this program. Felt the coordinator went above and beyond in planning the program and her handling of the group and activities. She was awesome and made the program a success.

This program was well planned and the coordinator thought through all the issues to make our experience very good. Patty should be commended both by Road Scholar and by U of Lafayette for her excellent work in program planning and execution. We learned a great deal about cajun country Mardi Gras and came away impressed and informed about this unique culture.

This program was fantastic, Without the background that Road Scholar provided, we would never have understood the origins of the Courir de Mardi Gras, otherwise known as the Chicken Chase. Our fun-packed week was filled with music and laughter, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Cajun Mardi Gras -- especially the rural event -- showcases a unique pocket of culture in America. Our leader, Patti Daigle, was excellent and got our week off to a good start by teaching us Cajun expressions both in English and in French.

The leader of this program, Patti Daigle, is experienced as a planner, a speaker, and a leader. She goes out of her way to make sure all the participants in the group are comfortable and also know what is expected. I'm a repeat participant to Mardi Gras in Cajun country and hope to attend again!

Fabulous experience that was both educational and entertaining. I would recommend this program to anyone that has not been to Cajun country. Much better than trying to explore this area on your own, and worth every penny.
