Reviews, photos and videos for program: The Yachtsman’s Caribbean: Exploring the U.S. & British Virgin Islands
Joanne from Tucson, AZ Number of programs attended: 3

This ship is old and rusty and has been taken out of service, I was told. The crew had just started so they were all learning the ropes in very windy conditions. The naturalist was also just learning about the plants and sea life which differed from her experience. The piano entertainment was terrific as were the watercolor demonstrations.

The opportunities to snorkel and the assistance of the staff in identifying fish and sea life were fantastic.

Had a great time & met a lot of very nice people. Loved getting away from the cold weather for a week. The Yorktown, its crew, and in particular Captain Jim Annicelli were absolutely wonderful.

I highly recommend the "Yachtsman's Caribbean" program to anyone interested in seeing the area in a much more intimate way than any large cruise ship possible could.

Great to get out of the winter cold. Snorkeling instruction and guided tours were fabulous.

We had a wonderful time snorkeling, kayaking and hiking on 8 different islands in the Virgin Islands. The Yorktown is a lovely small ship with a friendly staff and enthusiastic leaders/guides.

This trip was very well-organized, with lots of different activities at different levels. The staff for the program and the ship were excellent. The ship, the Yorktown, was very comfortable and the food ab ove average for such ships. We snorkeled from an uninhabited island and other small, uncrowded beaches - in 'high' season - which was a treat.
