Merv and Geri from Walpole, NH Number of Programs attened; 1 Date attended : 09/02/15-09/09/15 This wa our first trip with Road Scholar and it was a great experience. The program the staff organized was varied, flexible and most accomodating.Staying at the Teton Science School was a great environmental fit putting us in the mood for a fabulous outdoor adventure. Our team leader, Evan, is one of the most knowlegeable and professional guides we have had the pleasure of being with. While the walk at 10,500 feet was the most difficlt we have done, we would not have missed it.We even enjoyed the little rain on our canoe day.We returned to our hilly village on the Connecticut river with a exceptionally great memory picture of the Tetons -- a special US center piece of the world. Thanks to all the Teton School staff -- you are great !!!! Merv and Geri

Attended 9/2-/9, 2015, my 2nd RS trip. Recommend it highly.
Fantastic organization by the TSS staff, placing 128 in small groups of 12-14. Only wish our group leader was more prepared. Good variety of activities. At some hikes there was a choice of levels, i.e. Rendezvous Peak at Jackson Hole Resort. Loved the sunset hike at TSS! Canoe trip was a fantastic first-time experience for me, because of Joann, my patient "canoe partner." Chefs at TSS accommodated my "food intolerances." Fun to pack lunch. A treat to see the Ai Wei Wei sculptures at the Wildlife Museum, on tour from China. Raft ride, Rockefeller Preserve, Yellowstone all beautiful. Appreciate the shuttle to/from airport. Met wonderful folks and want meet up with them again. Thank you, RS.

Hello, I'm sorry for taking so long to write a small review. I will reiterate what i said in my eval. This was my first time in Jackson Hole, and my first time at Teton Science School. This was also the first time I really hiked any place. I have really nothing to compare it to. I had a good time and enjoyed meeting other participants. Build more flexibility into your program. (Maybe instead of a day hike u can opt for another canoe trip.

The majesty of the Tetons is the context for a program that was inspirational, exciting, and thoroughly enjoyable. Sylvia Doyle, our Lynx group leader, and other staff of the Teton Science School made this a delightful trip that I will long remember. She and they are true ambassadors for the natural world of the Tetons.

This was my first trip with Road Scholar and I absolutely loved the trip. We were out in the field all day and had a wonderful guide, Evan, who was never tired to answer all the questions. We learned so much and experienced the wonderful environment. I thank Teton Science School for great accommodations and delicious meals and first class organization. I know that this won't be my last trip. Already dreaming of the next. Antje Mann

If you love being outdoors to really experience what the environment is like and how the various elements of it interact this program is for you. We were out looking and learning about the animals, the plants, the weather, the geology and so much more!!!

Wow! Words almost cannot describe how wonderful this particular program is. Shirley's review below describes it well. The other participants were so friendly, and our group leader, Sylvia, was an enthusiastic, sensitive encyclopedia of knowledge about the area. The activities provided by the Teton Science School were varied and educational, as well as being flexible to match abilities of each individual. It was a joy to travel and hike the area led by folks dedicated to connecting people and nature. Linda and Steve

We are Pine Martens from the Teton trip with Teton Science School, Sept 2-9. It was a great trip, with excellent guides and lecturers. Thanks Chris. It was especially good in that the group was split in manageable sections, but large enough to cross over, so if one partners wanted to hike more than the other they could each do their own pace and have someone to be with. Nice mis oof outdoor activities. I highly recommend. Debbie Dorosin, and Ike Silberman from Mill Valley, CA

Great trip...wow! Loved all the variety of activities and Jackson Hole is a gem. The Teton Science school was a great base-camp for this trip. I would recommend this to anyone. It is quite an active trip, though, so that needs to be kept in mind too. Very pleased overall!! Shawn and Mark

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed every day of our Teton & Yellowstone adventure. The program was well planned & organized and opportunities were made available for varying levels of activity specific to each individual. Our leader, Clare, was knowledgeable & fun, as well as gracious. Our "Elk group" really bonded & had a great camaraderie. We couldn't be more pleased.

Teton Science School did a marvelous job with this program to introduce this breathtaking gorgeous area, with facts and memorable experiences of a lifetime. Greg was the leader of our group, and I should have brought a small clipboard to record the continuing flow information that he offered. He knew it all. The Wolves felt most fortunate that he was our leader and the best! Road Scholar, you can be very proud of this outstanding program.

Edward from Saint Petersburg, FL Number of programs attended: 1

This trip completely exceeded my expectations. It provided different activities as hiking, canoeing, white water rafting in so many interesting places with unbelievable views. Our leader Clare passed her passion to the nature to our Elk team that was very inspirational and with the great sense of humor. We wish to stay in touch with Clare in the future as well as with our new friends. We returned yesterday but my thoughts are still over there. The program was organized and selected perfectly for such a limited time.

Marcia from Cupertino, CA Number of programs attended: 18

Being a native Wyomingnite I loved seeing all the familiar sites again. But the altitude is a factor that some didn't realize was affecting them. Hiking is much more difficult at 10,000 feet. The organization of putting us in groups according to ability was superb. This is my 17th Road Scholar and I could have had a bit more knowledgeable field guide.

Patricia from Aiken, SC Number of programs attended: 1

Shirley's review below says it all! This program was so well done and thorough. We were taught so much while having memorable experiences with our expert guides and fellow "scholars." And it was topped off by perfect weather. Everyone associated with the Teton Science School is professional, capable, and very friendly.

It’s not just a hike through the woods or in the alpine area; or a raft float on the Snake River; or gliding across a lake in a canoe. It’s learning the geology, biology, and history of the national parks. How the Teton mountain range, the sage prairie, the grasslands, and the conifers were established. What animal wildlife inhabit this area and how is their population managed. The history of the few people who made this park the ownership of all of us to enjoy now and future generations, gives you a deeper appreciation of the beauty. Our guide (leader) was very knowledgeable and explained all of this in clear manner. I camped in the Tetons three times several years ago, but never saw or experienced this park like I did in this program. It seems I had a coloring book with just the outlines of the peaks, moraines, grasslands, etc., but our Teton Science School guide colored in the details for me and brought this park to life. Shirley, Pine Marten.
