The Great American Get Together in Chicago was a first time offering that was not entirely successful for me. Like many first time offerings, there were kinks and it's hard to manage over 100 people and hard to feed them all at once. I now realize that I do better with small groups.
On the positive side, it was a real treat to see many of Chicago's attractions and to understand more of the city's history. Highlights were the boat tour which afforded a wonderful perspective of the architecture, the trip to Oak Park to see early Frank Lloyd Wright work, and visits to two of my favorite museums anywhere in the world, the Field and the Art Institute.
