Reviews, photos and videos for program: On The Road: Erie Canal, Monument of Progress That Shaped a Nation
Marilyn from Baton Rouge, LA Number of programs attended: 6
Date attended: 09/08/13 - 09/21/13
Our trip along the path of the Erie Canal is one we shall remember always. We consider the most educational and most fun of all our trips.

Our guide, Elaine Chu,was a superb leader. For the most part all our activities and days were organized beautifully.
The information we received about the Erie Canal from the building to the present and the effects it had on our country's growth and all the innovations that came about because of the canal, along with many side trips that fit in with the history of the canal, made our store of knowledge so much more complete.

And, I need to say, this trip was fun! A great group of participants and a good bus driver made for a busful of laughter and smiles most days. We especially liked the sidetrips for apple cider donuts and ice cream.

We are very glad to have taken the inaugaral trip of this venue. Thanks, Road Scholar, for a good time.
Marilyn and Roland Shapley
