The Earthwatch program was excellent. The researchers made us feel very much at home, and made great efforts to educate us on the loons. They also took time to take us birdwatching, just for our enjoyment. The station is a house and we all cooked and made meals together: the arrangements were comfortable. The work was never strenuous, but it was freezing cold on the water so if you plan to attend in January bring your winter gear.
