Reviews, photos and videos for program: Chocolate and the Maya: A Service Adventure in Belize
Jack from Green Valley, AZ Number of programs attended: 7
Date attended: 06/16/13 - 06/23/13
One should not do this program during the rainy season.
We did (June, 2013) and not only did it rain heavily every day, but a serious flood ensued and our lodging became an island with on/off transport only by boat!
More importantly, the incessant rains necessitated major changes in the educational aspects of the program and we were not able to participate in some of the major scheduled events. Air transport in/out of Belize City was also seriously compromised by repeated snafus.
Road Scholar should know better than to offer this program during the rainy season.
